Bibble 0
STaylor was doing the long goodbye, on the pitch applauding all four corners after everyone else was down the tunnel. He milked it far more than usual. It was similar to Beye's long goodbye at the end of last season. The news on .com about Sol being in the ground and talking about signing imo supports the rumours that STaylor will be off. Can't believe I'm saying this but after todays performance I think we'd be far better off keeping Stroller than flogging him to Benfica. I was surprised at how the anti Ashley chants didn't take off, even at 0.0. But the best thing about today was just being able to cheer the team and leave the ground happy. ASHLEY OUT! JonTheMag 4
Who would replace Jonas on the left wing if he leaves? Lua Lua is a right winger, and everyone else play either in the center or on the right. Fuck, even Jonas should be on the right side. Really wish we hadn't sold Duff
ewerk 30611
Jonas may be shit regarding his final ball and finishing but as I've said before, he can keep a ball and have a go at the opposition, this relieving the defence and midfield. Very good performance today and if we can keep the momentum going and stay injury free we can challenge in this league but there's a long, long way to go yet. This is still a very difficult league to get out of and the team/squad we have is is still a long way from PL standard.
Guest alex
I thought Jonas and Enrique combined well yesterday. The former couldn't finish his dinner like. That run he had first half when he was put through on goal. JWTBH.

That run he had first half when he was put through on goal. JWTBH. He seemed to trip over nowt and then Carroll maintained the comedic element with that airshot - jonas was decent yesterday but still tends to disappear second half unlike Enrique who was still bombing forward in the 90th minute - Taylor is away by the look of it and i think thats a big shame - defensive frailities aside he is a very talismanic figure and drives the team forward. Even Colo got better second half after a being weak as water in the first half
Norbert Colon 0
Enrique is starting to fulfill his promise especially considering his age. Was willing him to get a goal with that late surging run into the box. A good crosser too. I thought with maybe a couple of exceptions we out muscled Reading especially Enrique - which will have surprised a lot of people - and i thought the front two put the fear of god into their defence everytime the ball went forward. For all Shola is a clumsy cunt he looks very intimidating when he is up for it and Carroll enjoys the hard side of the game and you could see the reading defenders shitting themselves
MattM4 0
Enrique's class has really shone so far in this league. There's a sense of effortlessness about him. Not that he's taking it easy, quite the opposite, but it seems like he can get the ball back, beat players and pass with ease.

I think he's more willing to get forward too as he isn't so concerned about getting caught out by our midfield losing the ball and the opposition breaking quickly. Such a shame that him, Bassong and Beye couldn't form the basis of what could have been a very decent back four.

Guest alex
I think his passing is pretty good. He actually tries to pick players out too and I'm not of the opinion that he's only just started playing well either.

Too many go wrong for my liking - I'll admit he has improved a bit on the not passing to an opposition player who's in the way of his target stakes but I noticed a few yesterday where he played the ball out by rolling it too close to the line. I have nothing against a player trying to pick people out but I think he needs to play it a bit simpler more often.
Barney 0
At home to Wigan last year the lad was abysmal. His confidence was clearly shot, and he looked pub league. He's absolutely top class at this level, and I thought he was excellent for us towards the end of last season. His crossing can be hit and miss. His cross for our 1st yesterday was a beaut, but he hit one last week against WBA under no pressure that went Row Z. I'd love us to try and keep hold of him. Despite my comments I do agree - his defending is a lot better and I think Campbell will do wonders for him - I'm just pointing out his passing/crossing still needs a fair bit of work. That attempted back pass to Harper where it went for a corner being a case in point. As Barney mentions though he certainly has some ability in terms of passing. Maybe he's a little lackadaisical with his passing at times.

Giraffidae 0
I thougt Reading’s back 4 were quite good yesterday, it took some class play to get at them. Reading’s midfield was totally outclassed by some great ‘carpet football’ – about time we tried it. We won’t be playing against a bunch of kids every week though. Previously our 2 big lads up front had meant direct football most of the time, hopefully the penny’s drooped. Alas, I reckon 4-6 more players will be gone by the end of the month, and we already need at least 3 more in. Bloody hell, Shola got a hat-trick!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guest Stevie
Shola got three, and he could've realistically had five. Good performance, some cracking football at times, and we were miles better than them, just as overall we were at WBA. Regarding Barton, see Barton was ok yesterday but I think he was completely focussed on being well behaved, and as a result I think it took that bit of aggression and drive away from his game. Good crowd as well, 37,000, who would get that in our situation? NO CUNT! <<Danny if you're reading. Also it seems that many of critical mongs have fucked off, I knew there'd be some positives of relegation
