Newcastle United vs Reading FC

I feel I should make a mention that 3 of the players that I regularly slate on her played very well yesterday. Nolan, Shola and Raylor. Good on them and long may it continue.

I still reckon Nolan is a clogger, but his heart is in the right place-a good attitude too.

Raylor was under no pressure defensively, bit that cross was superb and he even had a cheeky backheel at one stage, he used the ball far better.

I take it back Matt, that was much funnier than you giving your opinion on Shola's performance.

Overall I thought Ryan Taylor was still poor though. He looked like he was desperately short on confidence and taking up positions where he was unable to receive the ball. Hiding in other words.

I've got 15 posts in this topic, so if you really want to know knock yourself out. But I doubt you really give a shit; just being your usual condescending self towards me.

And please, don't confuse my antagonism towards you with supposed antagonism towards anything else.

I don't think theres anything wrong with being pleased for Shola on a personal level as part of the overall victory feel good factor while still thinking he is fucking shit and he will never be anything else.

This was his usual decent game once in a blue moon (there may be a couple more) - and that's "only" scoring - his general play was abysmal.

Yeah, even when he slotted home that penalty I was still thinking that it will probably be the last goal he scores for another 5-10 games.

Doing a lot better than Carroll though, goals wise, play wise Carroll is definitely the better of the two though, never stops working.

Was impressed with Joey Barton aswell, man of the match IMO, his passing and crossing was brilliant.

I guess some people just can't take a joke.

Of course I can take a joke. I've gladly taken stick or banter over some of my opinions for years. I just know that coming from you it's not "just a joke" anymore which you confirmed to me just the other day.
