FERGIE AND SHEARER MESSAGES TAPPED - REPORT

Posted 10/07/09 09:42

'Phone messages left by Sir Alex Ferguson and Alan Shearer on the mobile telephone of Gordon Taylor were tapped into by The News of the World,' The Guardian has alleged.

According to the newspaper, which cites 'sources familiar with the police investigation', Ferguson and Shearer were among a number of football personnel whose messages were hacked from the phone of the PFA chief executive by a private investigator working for the tabloid.

The Guardian claims that 'Messages that were intercepted are said to have referred to the Arsenal manager, Arsène Wenger; medical bills incurred by the former England player Paul Gascoigne; the former England midfielder Jamie Redknapp; and a prominent Premier League player who had a cocaine problem.'

Pretty long list of candidates for that one, would love to hear what they had to say about Jamie Redknapp though
