You get very little noise of hens, it's the cocks who do the cock a doodle dooing and most back yard poultry keepers don't have cocks! They shouldn't really be any worse than the smell you get off rabbits or guinea pigs I would have thought as long as they are cleaned properly. Christmas Tree 4711 Posted April 30, 2014 Author Share Posted April 30, 2014 did you do this a few months ago? I'm having a first crack like, not raised beds, just dug over a corner of the lawn. Onion, pumpkin and courgette going well. Carrots and brocolli never came up. Tomatoes in a trough and bags and loads of spuds in a side bed. Seem to be growing a bizarre coriander tree too.
