Acid 0
He shouldn't return either, after that I'd love to join the Mackems remark.
donaldstott 0
Meanwhile, there was no update from Newcastle regarding the takeover of the club today. A United official said: “Sorry but there is no further news on the sale of the club.” It's a good job Lee included the quote there, adds a lot to the story!! trophyshy 7073
Not a footballing decision obviously, they are just letting go of as many costs as possible, as soon as possible.

Phil 6
I care too much about the club merely to abandon it. Edited July 1, 2009 by Phil
maggiespaws 0
It certainly does look like they are just slashing costs like a 70% sale at SD. Lovenkrands looked like he could do a job in the Championship and would have been a cheap choice too. On a free and his contract could have been negotiated low because of demotion. Fucking idiots. Admittedly it's a difficult situation as do you give contracts to players the next administration don't want? Problem is, if the sale doesn't get sorted out asap, the season will start and we'll be fielding the fucking tea lady and we've let anyone go who's any good/up for contract. Papa Lazaru 0
Both him and Edgar could have done a job, and i doubt they'd have wanted stupid wages, though Lovenkrands unlike Edgar may have wanted to try for a prem club first before staying, who knows now! But i bet Shearer would probably have kept both, he has enough to do if he ever gets the job in terms of ins and outs of players without losing ones who were capable and having to replace them as well! Inglez 0
Would of liked to have seen him stay, could of a good job for us in the championship. He cost us nowt. We should be offering him a new contract and gettind rid of the real shite like Ameobi, Butt etc. Edited July 1, 2009 by Inglez
Acid 0
Ameobi won't be leaving, he only signed a new contract a year ago. Butt should stay he's our creative spark in the middle.
sniffer 0
Lovenkrands thinks he's a lot better than he is but is probably having a reality check now. I doubt he'll get a decent offer from a premier league club.

acrossthepond 872
He wasn't nearly as gash as I expected him to be and would've been a good budget option for life in the Championship. Didn't give a shit about the club but who could blame him really?
