We kick off at West Brom in approximately 39 days. Our preseason training starts by next week. Our first friendly is in 12 days against Plymouth. Ok so lets assume, that by some stretch of magic, Ashley manages to sell the club exactly one week from today, which would take us to July 6th. Assuming general bureaucratic slowness it takes another week for everything to be settled and for Shearer to be officially installed as manager. This leaves Shearer with only 25 days to prepare his squad for a new season, all while trying to bring in multitudes of new players to replace the multitudes of players who will be leaving (Owen, Martins, Bassong, Viduka, Coloccini, Lovenkrads, etc.).

We are seriously, royally, fucked.
