Craig 6700
ALAN SHEARER wants Chris Gunter to be part of his Geordie revolution at St James’ Park. Shearer is still thrashing out the details of a long-term contract to become the Newcastle United boss – but has told owner Mike Ashley that signing Wales international Gunter is a priority this summer. Gunter has been made available by Spurs gaffer Harry Redknapp and will cost Shearer £3million as he looks to rebuild the club from the rubble of relegation. White Hart Lane coach Harry knows that he has to raise cash this summer and already has three other right-backs at the club in Vedran Corluka, Pascal Chimbonda and Alan Hutton. Shearer will face competition from North East rivals Middlesbrough and West Brom. Gunter wants to join Nottingham Forest, where he played on loan last season but Billy Davies cannot afford him. Gunter looks decent but shouldn't left back be a priority? Or is Beye leaving now as well...

Kid Dynamite 7311
Its common knowledge that Shearer is on holiday, hasnt been offered a job and Ashley has pulled all funds. Why do the papers inisist on publishing this shit!
Fop 1
Can't imagine us spending £3m anyway, even if Shearer was here, in charge, Ashley wasn't standing on random street corners desperately trying to off load the club to anyone that passed by.
