Geordie Boyo 24
Kieron Dyer Statement NEWCASTLE United today issued the following statement regarding midfielder Kieron Dyer. Kieron Dyer has a medical problem which has contributed to his lack of fitness Unfortunately, he has suffered ANOTHER reaction following his appearance last weekend and will require further specialist attention to help him regain his full fitness. .............Talk about stating the blatent obvious...! Ah well, at least we should have Luque back soon......... Edited November 3, 2005 by Geordie Boyo

Renton 21989
Oh ffs. It probably isn't his fault, but this is beyond a joke. Why didn't we sell when we had the chance?
David Kelly 1260
Did we ever have the chance in reality? It seems like they are suggesting it isn't all down to just pulling muscles but more a medical condition he has, possibly one which he needs to take medication for and it is that medication that is contributing to the muscle problems. At least if it is something like this there may be a way to overcome it!

Bombadil 0
It's a terrible shame and I feel a bit sorry for him too. He showed last weekend just what he can bring to the team - a fully fit and confident Dyer would be a major, major asset. I had a look at the threads over at Newcastle Online and the abuse Dyer is getting there is absolutely shocking. It's an extremely frustrating sitation for the club and the player and I don't see the point in giving Dyer even more stick. Hopefully it's nothing serious (the statement suggests otherwise though) and he'll be back soon.

Guest Sima
Shame, he made a massive difference when he came on last weekend. The super-sub role is an ideal one for him to fully utilise his pace and his ability to go at defenders from the channels Hopefully he'll be back fit sooner rather than later.
