Ive never really focused on him when watching a game but hes never struck me as owt flash and definately not worth anywhere near the figures rumoured. Maybe he just needs a good team though? Palacious went for a similar fee and im not particularly struck by him either

Bolton have confirmed the signing of Portsmouth midfielder Sean Davis on a free transfer.

As revealed by skysports.com last month Bolton had lined up a move to take Davis to the Reebok Stadium once his contract at Portsmouth expired.

The former Fulham and Tottenham man has inked a three-year deal with Bolton after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

Bolton boss Gary Megson has held a long-term interest in Davis after trying to sign him during the January transfer window without success and he is delighted to finally land his man.

"We are delighted to have signed such an experienced Premier League footballer," Megson told the club's official website.

"Sean made 40 appearances last season for Portsmouth and he will strengthen our midfield.

"We wanted to bring him to the Reebok in January but our bid of £3.5million was turned down by Portsmouth

1048: Another done deal to bring you as Wolves sign midfielder Andrew Surman from Southampton.

1050: Time for a big update from Portsmouth as the club release Noe Pamarot, Lauren, Glen Little, Djimi Traore and Jerome Thomas.

However, Pompey are weighing up a new deal for out-of-contract captain Sol Campbell and striker Kanu.

Dear god do they have enough strikers yet? Benzema, Raul, Huntelaar, David Villa, Van Nistelrooy (though he'll be off), Higuan not to mention Ronaldo and Kaka just behind....

Pretty sure David Villa hasn't signed for them.

Doesn't make a difference, does it? Sooo good that team.

However, when you look at Barcelona's team; you soon remember how good they are.
