My music collection is 41.7Gig, giving me 6908 songs, or21.2days worth of all killer, no filler, aural awesomeness...

however given the reaction to the "things that piss you off" thread, I get the impression that that's just not that impressive.

how much music do you lot have?

I'm not at home, but I think I have about 120Gig.

It's a right bastard only having an 80Gig ipod and having to leave a third of my stuff off. :D

;) I have an 8 gig iPod Nano

Although I kind of like having to select what I actually have with me. Means I have to take an actual interest in what I listen to. It generally comes down to the "Recently added" playlist like... but still :D

In this day and age you can download an entire artists tour, in flac, taken from the soundboard.

thats why my music collection is so big.

20.6 gig, just over 7000 tracks (seems it's more compressed than some on here). Doesn't all fit on my 16 gig Sony Walkman but only a minor incovenience really. Got some stuff on vinyl too which I can't be bothered to convert.

The mind boggles at HF's collection. Unless you only listen to each track once or twice there is no way you can listen to that much music, surely?

I should delete a lot of the 'try before you buy' stuff that's not grabbed me....like Burial...but it's happened more than once that something I (dis)missed originally comes on shuffle months later and i love it.

I'm running out of space...but with memory so cheap I can't see myself cleaning that sort of stuff out.

11 boxes of vinyl, half of which i am currently selling/giving away.

About 50gb on new mac, 30gb on the old one, none of which is FLAC as i'm a retard when it comes to these things.

Anything worth having?

Surely an 8Gig Nano can't even hold just the official studio releases of the core rock/pop gods (The Beatles/Led Zeppelin/Bob Dylan/Jimi Hendrix/The Rolling Stones/James Brown/Power Station) that form the backbone of ANY collection before you think about branching out to other genre, lesser artists, rareties and unofficial releases.
