Excellent, only one and a bit days left then. Well done for getting a job btw. Ta tbh if the level of work doesn't leap up by 70% I reckon I'll be on here... a lot. a lot of the work is reacting to phonecalls, the team of 4 have had 7 to share today. It's only 6 months though so I'll be able to put some cash aside and won't get too bored

wykikitoon 21492
Quite interested in how Wykik is going to prove they are doing the Bohemian cluster fuck. Perhaps this thread has potential as another Toontastic classic. Obviously when you go to HR don't mention the fact you have asked for advise on an internet forum about this, they tend not to like that. I wont be able to even though she and he have both told me they have done it!!!!
Gemmill 47084
I know work situations Fish Boy. You're still living on pot noodles. He should definitely listen to me over you. I'm posting this from work numbnuts and if i can do that on my third day, I must be pretty savvy at this work malarkey. Either that or you're a gay receptionist with nowt to do. Lazarus 0
As mentioned above, youve got 2 options. 1) leave 2) stay and hope the relationship ends sooner rather than later. always difficult when a waster is either shagging the boss or related to him. or both. ChezGiven 0
Because working in an office is essentially a tournament (the CEO being the tournament champion), it motivates people in two ways. One is to work harder so that you get paid more and promoted and secondly, it motivates people to backstab. "Tournament Theory" (Ed Leazer etc - great name btw) basically tries to explain why work is such a cunt and why office life can make people miserable. The conclusion of this way of looking at office life is that you should work hard when that effort is easily observable and tied to your rewards for work, or to backstab when it is not, to make you look better relative to the others (its relative performance that matters in the tournament). My advice is therefore to gossip about your mate and this munter to people, mentioning it at discrete times but ensuring that the 'office gossip' finds out. Then when the gossip is out there, when it comes up again, introduce the theory that she only shagged him to keep him sweet because she does nothing at work. Dog eat dog (quite possibly literally if your mate likes carpet burger).

tinofbeans 91
if you are a manger and he is a director, and if he is respected by other directors, then they will close ranks on you. your lower down the food chain than him.... so either sort yourself out with other work or try to sort it out with him. your on to a loser if you think he'll change much i reckon. Nooooo, this is a totally different one I dont give a shit if they are banging, its the fact the amount of hours I am doing and basically my manager is a cunt and doesnt seem to think anyone has a life out of work. He says I would get time off in Leiu but its just not happening and Ive had enough. The fact that this fat wench is not pulling her MASSIVE weight is the final straw. If I havent got a load on ill ask the others in the team if they need any help with urgent stuff, shell do fuck all!

Cid_MCDP 0
Right guys I have an issue at work. Its a difficult one so Ill explain a bit of the background first. Right, firstly I got one of my old bosses a job here in Jan, hes come in as a Regional Director. I have known him for 12 years and he aint a bad lad really, a little misguided but all in all not a bad bloke. His manmanagement skills are somewhat lacking and organisation is none existant (DONT ask why I got him the job, Im asking myself that now!) Anyways, we work with a women, who 1) is dog shit at her job 2) is bone idle and will do anything to skive! She has only been in wokr 44 days this year, due to time off for courses etc etc. Well, since this old boss of mine has started she seems to be getting preferential treatment, she has 1.5h for lunch, she can take lunch when she wants, she leaves early, spends hours on the net, spends ages on the phone to family and friends, and generaly shrugs work off. Now, Ive mentioned this to my boss and he says all I do it moan (which in some ways its true) and dismisses it saying she works hard! Its not just me though thats seen it, others have too yet the will not open their mouths. I get in early and leave well over my hours, yet if I leave 5mins early this bloke questions my "core hours" Its starting to eat me and I dont wnat to come into work. I am part of three who work on all the jobs who at the end of the day our stuff is the stuff that goes to the clients. We therefore are relied upon the most, this fat wench doesnt give info soon enough, doesnt goto meetings as she is scared etc, she is generally a waste of a human skull! So, a couple of months ago I spoke to the Regional HR amanger and mentioned this and she said I should speak to the mian director. Its a difficult one as I dont want to feel like I am moaning especially on a bloke Ive know for so long. Now the twist, I found out my boss has fed the pony on this certain female colleague at the weekend and she repayed with some So what do I do? I am the most senior one in my role and therefore I am relied upon a LOT. I am in at 7:30am most days and leave at 5:30pm, yet some days its easy 8pm or later, with little or no lunch. This wench comes in at 9am and leaves for lunch at 12:00pm and then comes back mostly at 1:30pm then fucks off at 4:30pm, thats after phoning "momma" up in fucking Italy for an hour! She is diabetic and fuck me does she play on it, so she has "special" treatment to go for lunch early, FUCK OFF YOU WASTER!!! You can see im not affected by the fut cunt, so, what the fuck do I do? I've never personally had any luck with going "up the chain" on shit like this. Seems like unless you can get HR to notice a BLATANT violation of some company policy (i.e. fails a drug test, etc.), going to HR never works for me- only against me. Not knowing specifically what you do, it's tough to say, but as someone who often has to cover for people who are fucking useless, is there any way you could pull back a bit and let her fail (preferably in some spectacular way)? If she's missing that many days, coming in late, and leaving early, seems as though you have to be covering for her or doing her work to some extent. It's my guess this is why you're on here bitching about it. Can you stop doing that so some project misses a deadline or fails? Barring that, maybe having a heart to heart with your boss about this new job where you wouldn't have to take care of the slackers around you could spur some positive activity...
