Howay 12496
Everytime an English team I dislike get to the final I want them to lose then I start seeing the fans of the other countries team. I dislike Man U mainly jelousy like but when watching a program last night seeing all the arrogant Spanish gloryhunters as well as cocky cunts from Barcelona and even Italians that want Barca to win simply so the English side lost I thought fuck them hope Man U stuff the cunts. When I see reports about how fantastic Barca fans are I laugh terms like 'the city breathes football' would it be the same if they had went 4 decades without a trophy? nah would it fuck they rarely travel to away matches same as the Italians, fuck that I'll be rooting for Manchester tonight. Italians travel rarely to away matches? From what I've seen not greatly they're the same as Spaniards most tend to follow the bigger clubs so their away attendances tend to be glory hunters from the area the match is played, the fans from the teams local area don't bother. edit: well said Stevie Edited May 27, 2009 by Barton7
Guest Stevie
See my post about how wank Italian away supports are on the last post. Mind when Barca came here in 1997, they had no more than FIFTY, I think even Monaco brung more. I was from Barcelona I'd support Espanyol. Italians travel rarely to away matches? Well if the 200 Juventus and 400 Inter fans who came here in in 2002/2003 no they fuckin don't, they're mouthy mugs. Attendance: 48,370 - very small number of Juve fans - less than 300, most of whom had travelled from various points in the UK. Any with half a clue knows Italians are mugs who don't travel. Juve fans are wank anyway, got 10 million fans in the country but not the most popular team in the city. And not all Italians are "mugs who don't travel" btw. Oh and about you supporting Espanyol, didn't surprise me, they even throw bananas at their own keeper who is black.

I don't know what are the travel figures for European matches, but inside the country some teams get 3000+ away fans at almost every game.

Fop 1
Notice it seems to be fans over a certain age who've more inclined to celebrate a Barcelona victory? Is it because their hatred was at the most white hot during our flirtation with league success in the mid-90s and for whatever reason it hasn't subsided, whereas younger lads either were too young (think on it, 95 was 14 years ago and there's some lads on here who're only 18...) or is it because these lads have had to endure more taunting than the rest of us? I'm 27 so I was still a teenage when we truly challenged Man U, maybe it was the youth, but I really can't hate Man U or their fans. Man U is fine (for an Evil monopolistic corporation), but the "fans" are just . The ones that admit they just support them because they are successful are..... acceptable, but it's the ones (which are most of them - not matter what Stevie may say) that claim their family has been faithfully supporting them since 1655 that are just plain . Craig 6682
Looking forward to the game tonight, it could've been worth 2k to me but que sara. I'd love Man Utd to pummel them 4-0, and see what Xavi et al have to say about who are the best team in Europe then. FWIW Barcelona are brilliant side, but you tell me one top class, and I mean top class who they have pummelled over the last few years. The answer is there isn't one. Should be a good neet. You're fucking unbelievable you are... You bang on about how there is only one team on your horizon and how that people who 'sympathise' other teams should be hung, drawn and quartered. It's one thing to say you'd prefer Man Utd to win, but to change your avatar to their badge and have a sig devoted to that cheating greasy twat is quite another. Whoever wins, I hope it's a fantastic game of football which honours the competition it's representing and doesn't revert to the bore-fest of last season. If you ask me who I want to win, then it has to be Barca. The actions of Man Utd fans these last couple of days have seen to that - bitter cunts who wanted us to go down simply on account of Shearer, the man who dared to turn them down. That said, I'm not about to devote my life savings to Unicef or anything like that. * FWIW, I backed Man Utd in '99, Liverpool in '05 & '07 and Arsenal in '06 so I can't be accused of not following the English on the jealousy-induced account that it's not my team taking part. Craig 6682
Il always want an English team to beat a foreign team. 99 times out of a hundred I'd agree with this. But the shit coming out from Man Utd fans these last couple of days in respect of 'lowly Newcastle' has been unbelievable. Some of them are celebrating our demise as much as, if not more than, their own title!

Sima 0
Does Whitley Bay count as Newcastle Stevie? Not technically no. North Tyneside is basically Newcastle though isn't it. Is Wallsend in Newcastle? Honest question to which I don't know the answer? Apparently Park will play tonight, Fergie loves him, I don't think he has that much to his game tbh. Sells a lot of shirts over there. Aye because Fergie would let someone dictate who he can and can't play.
