trophyshy 7083
I have to say after both of their early season showings I am very disappointed in them. Brings me back to something I said over and over again, for some reason we ruin lots of players. Goldfish Bowl? Guest alex
Hard for a foreigner new to the league to come into a very poor side. I think the way it was being run behind the scenes after KK went will have made it twice as hard. Not trying to say Jonas, Colo or Xisco, for example are world-beaters but I doubt they're as bad as they've looked in their time here.
Tooj 17
I think he still should have at least been one of the people who got on on Sunday, you can't tell me he isn't one the 14 best players we had available. I also think he'll do quite well if he goes to a decent club (may well be back in Spain). He looks very heavy legged, maybe that was the situation we have been in. But he's not as full of energy as he was before that shoulder injury.

Price you pay for a shitty little squad too (across the board that is) - see Beye, Enrique, lack of cover at CB, etc.

trophyshy 7083
Smith and Owen are up there with the worst purchases NUFC have ever made. It is mind boggling our transfer policy down the years...are we top of the flops?

The Fish 10857
I can't put Jonas' form entirely down to him. I wonder, if we had two wingers, and an attacking midfielder how much of his world class running about would have actually lead to something. He did look like the furiously wagging tail on a 14 yr old dog.

You're not such an attractive club, how are your wages so low? Is it just cause the core came through your own system?
The messenger 0
We got a superb academy so that obviously helps yes, but I think we simply sign more sensible players then you. Picking up foreign players looking for one big pay day isn't our thing. Still we got some high earner as well. How they hell Xisco is on £ 50 K a week beats me. Is that true? Tom 14011
90% of those wages aren't true by the way. Another instance of the newspapers spouting utter fabricated shite and the masses believing it.

Thing is, with you system, you'll never have a Shearer, or a Robert... similarly you're unlikely to have a Boumsong or a Luque.

I think the wages are large but they're inflated a canny bit by the press. How would they possibly have access to all the wages anyway?

What we lack you have in abundance - pace and power running through the side. We have neither, is it any wonder the few games Viduka plays (who can actually hold onto the ball) we look like we might have a chance.

I'd say this system we are running are more likely to pick up a "Shearer" then yours, but hey ho. Or that's a Shearer pre-toon though. MON hasn't spent £ 15 Mill on a player yet. A Lee Hendrie tbh Shearer came to us partly because we were challenging, partly because we are his local club and partly because we paid him an absolute stack of cash. The equivalent these days would be Wayne Rooney joining you, can you honestly say that's likely? p.s. at no point do I believe we'll sign a Shearer, not for a long time. We might sign an Andy Cole though.
trophyshy 7083
I think Andy Carrol will do well in the Championship. That is all.
