Beggars can't be choosers, especially whilst where in this situation. Stephen Hunt will be a decent signing, his brother isn't worth a mention. If we can get Hunt on a reasonable fee and a 20k contract, I reckon he'd be worth a punt.

Out of interest, how come you let Murty, Hahnemann and Lita go on free transfers (sodje too but he was total crap right?). If we're actually going to be run a a shoestring budget this summer we really should snap up Lita and maybe Murty as well, regardless of the fact we have no manager.

Must admit I was quite surprised when Hahnemann left the club, he's a good keeper. Nearly 40 though so I can sort of understand the reason he was let go. Best of luck to the guy though, he's a terrific player and a great guy. Federici is more than capable of becoming the #1 keeper though so it's good that he's going to get the chance to progress. Similar situation with Murty; getting quite old and wasn't playing. One of the most loyal and professional players in the sport though, I imagine he'll be back at the club if he ever takes up a managerial or coaching role in the future, the man is Reading through and through.

 

As for Lita, I think it was just time he left really. Coppell never liked him, was in and out of the team regardless of performance and it's always seemed like the club have been trying to get shot. I'd still like to see him at Newcaslte, especially as he'd be free, and wouldn't cost the earth in terms of wages. Would've preferred him to stay and Shane Long to fuck off tttt.
