Does Relegation Matter?

I can't imagine us bouncing back. Ashley is clueless and the club will continue its decline with him at the helm unless he has a dramatic change of policy and gets his chequebook out. But even then, how many players will want to come, how much PR damage has been done? Shearer and Dowie have it all to do both downwardly and upwardly to change things, relegation or not.

 

I fear relegation will lead to several years in the doldrums, we might be a decade from competing again, we might not get back in a generation.

 

Thanks Mike, Destroyer of Hope. That sums it up for me, he has killed hope and that is pretty much all we've ever fucking had.
