Guest alex
Lost 1 nil at home to West Ham a couple of years ago to condemn Sheff Utd. I think they should win but I'd love to kick Ferguson in the balls if they don't. Worrying that Brown is pals with ferguson, as specially as it goes without saying that there is no love lost between old puce face and Al. My current thinking is we'll both lose and we'll go down by a solitary point. How frustrating would that be? Not that we don't deserve it.
TicTacWoe 0
Same here, I could also see us and Hull picking up a point which would be even worse in a way. Edited May 18, 2009 by TicTacWoe

Those last minute goals by Faye and Bramble for Stoke and Wigan really are the killer blow. Still maintain we should never have sold Faye.

I suppose we asked for it on both occasions though.
TicTacWoe 0
This is the second article that makes a big deal out of how wonderful Aaron Hughes is, it's opportunistic journalism. Don't get me wrong he was and is a decent player (though I'd reckon Enrique could be better than him with time) but it was the players who came in for him (Babayaro, Bernard's ill fated return...who else am I forgetting?) that were the problem. I remember thinking it was a bit odd when he left for so little as he was quite versatile but that's about it.

Guest alex
He was basically Hughes' replacement (edit: Moore that is). A lot of rumours Hughes went after publically backing Bellamy as well (after Bellamy had left). He didn't say anything very controversial either. He struggled at Villa mind and he's always struggle against a big strong centre-forward but he's a good defender and we miss his versatility. On top of him never wanting to leave, looking after himself etc. Edited May 18, 2009 by alex

Craig Moore got a two year deal. Both shit signings obviously.
ewerk 31238
I think the only thing we can hope for is that the Man U players will be looking to play for a place in the CL final, otherwise I can see plenty of them looking to keep their boots clean and avoid injury. Id be surprised if any of those expected to start or be on the bench Wednesday will even get on the bus to Hull tbh.
Barney 0
SAF wouldn't play a full youth team I think. It would be detrimental to the kids. I can see Scholes/Fletcher etc playing.

tinofbeans 91
going back to centrebacks we all rated, hughes spent a fair bit of time at right back. during his time here he was part of a side that came 3rd 4th and 5th in the league and was a regular. how that fuckwit souness ever got rid of him for £1m i don't know. I know bobby robson rated him, as did the coaching team at villa, and he's highly regarded at fulham. this is really just one example of how we can get it so very wrong. another thing is selling players off as soon as they hit 30. les ferdinand being a prime example....
