Just watched the last ever episode of House and feeling very happy sad.

Fantastic run of episodes building up to a great, typically House, finale.

Have to say it just edges West Wing as my favourite TV series of all time.

Will be a big miss.

I really ought to start watching this....

as much as i love house, and it's one of my fav shows the last two seasons were properly hit and miss in parts, some of it was properly crap, west wing still rules supreme for me (although i'd have tabled you for a republican loser CT instead of a jed bartlett fan!)

I think the season when the relationship got going with cutty wasnt up to scratch and after 8 years everything becomes familiar, but overall, still a great watch.

Jed all the way for me.

Its funny how you pigeon hole people though. I was watching Shrek the other day and couldnt help thinking he reminded me of you. Yes it was bizarre. I think I was comparing how angry he gets so quickly, but underneath it all he's probably a big softy.

You telling CT or do you watch that Shit? Surprised at the lapse in your normally impecable taste if the latter.

I watch it like. It's about the only thing I can watch without having to really concentrate on.

I'm 6 episodes into the first season of The Shield and have lined up season 6 of Dexter and the first season of Spartacus to accompany it. We're watching that Sky One show Strike Back as well - I think it's shite, but she likes it.

I'll give that a look cheers. Does the guy who writes this have any other series out?

It's by Armando Ianucci, Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain mostly. Ianucci co-wrote Alan Partridge and wrote for The Day Today. The other two write Peep Show and a film called Four Lions, with Chris Morris of Brass Eye fame.

Basically, if you start with Iannucci and connect the dots, you'll get some of the best British comedy of the last 20 years
