Toonpack 11706
Resident Alien - diversionary nonsense but pretty funny 8/10 Netflix Shapeshifting Alien stranded in rural US. Best lines so far: "She tried to suffocate me with her sexual organs and I could smell her ham breath" "I must get a disguise, I could grow a moustache but then I'd have to get a job as a firefighter, or a paedophile" Easy watch with regular laughs. Dazzler 12134
Got Sisu on on Netflix. It was meant to be background noise while I work from home, and I've watched every minute of it so far. John Wick but swap out John Wick for an old, mad Finnish bastard, and replace a dead dog with stolen gold. You also need to swap Russian mafia for the nazis. Fucking mental film. Renton 24121
Am watching American Primeval on Netflix, loving it. It is ridiculously grim so far. Btw, to save money I've gone down to the £5 advert package and it's not too bad. Severance on Apple, I am increasingly unsure of. Started off intriguing, got a bit boring, picked up at the end of S1, and now it's just giving vibes of trying to be too clever. I see there is an S3 placeholder on IMDb and I'm thinking is this another Lost scenario? No fixed narrative arc? Honestly feels like the whole thing could have been a feature length Black Mirror to me or at least 1 series if they had wanted. We'll see. Gemmill 50922
I've been disappointed with S2 of Severance. It was weird enough in S1 but they've gone crackers in this season. It's still good, but it feels like a drop off from S1, especially the season finale of S1.
Holden McGroin 7738
Aye, it's gone bonkers. I hope they can tie it up neatly at the end of this season because its a bit of a mess. I've just finished ep 7. Ep 8 has got a bad rating compared to the rest so I assume something shite must happen.
Gemmill 50922
It's another weird one and a bit of a diversion, but hopefully building to something. It's at least got the good grace to only be 40 minutes long.
Christmas Tree 5188
Gave up on severance season 1 episode 1, approximately 29 minutes in. Weird as fuck. Instead I’ve tumbled into a 20 odd year old show called survivor with 47 seasons

Alex 37179
Aye. I’ve got those feelings about Severance too. Although I do like it and think it’s one of the more interesting things I’ve seen on TV for a long while. But yeah, I hope they don’t just let it drift due to a combination of its popularity and not knowing how to tie things up. Which I think will definitely happen if the third season isn’t the final one.

Also tried one of the newer ones and it’s definitely lost its way.

Meenzer 16571
We used to be devoted to it but gave up somewhere in the early 20s (I'm talking about Survivor here, not life generally).

Kid Dynamite 7776
Watching the Gabby Petito documentary on Netflix. Still on the first episode but it's definitely showing a different story to the one played out in the press. Ie: "Police negligence in not rescuing a vulnerable young woman from her abusive partner." He's obviously a creep, but she comes across as an emotional wreck, and the police seemed to go above and beyond when they were called to the initial domestic abuse call. edit - Onto episode 2. His parents are suss as fuck Edited March 14 by Kid Dynamite
Gemmill 50922
I don't know which bit you're watching but the police are way overly friendly with him when they stop them in the van. She's acting hysterical and they're a lot more understanding of him and his "crazy girlfriend" than they are of the lass bawling who they've had a report was getting slapped in the face by the lad previously.

At that point they'd had a report of her smacking him about, from memory. I think the story changed later. But aye, the way the coppers go on with him is nauseating - They have no impartiality whatsoever. Even if they believed she was the aggressor they should have just nicked her under the guise of letting them both calm down a bit. By the time they let her out they'd have the proper story and she'd probably still be alive. I watched the one about the mormon family on Disney the other week, where the wife ended up in a cult with a man-hating lesbian mormon leader (who she was blatantly shagging behind her husband's back) and abused her own kids. The husband was clearly related to the family from abducted in plain sight because he was a fucking absolute moron - the simp cunt.

Gemmill 50922
It's been getting loads of hype, but Adolescence on Netflix was good. Just starting Dope Thief. Brian Tyree Henry (Paper Boy on Atlanta) and Wagner Moura (Escobar on Narcos) are two blokes who have a scam going where they pretend to be DEA to nick drugs off people. Don't know much about it beyond that, but looks like it's gonna be good.
