Gemmill 49267
I'm up to date as of today. It's still quality. I've read the books though so am partly watching to see how they handle different bits from the books.

Yep, it's good IMO close-ish to the books. American Primeval on Netflix, gritty western, it's rather good even if female lead is a fucking idiot. 8/
Holden McGroin 7411
I love a Western so that’s on my list. I started Slow Horses this week. I managed 1 episode as the mrs was only half watching it so might be a struggle to get that watched.

Holden McGroin 7411
Massively overhyped but I thought the storyline was good. The direction was poor and ending was naff. Edited January 11 by Holden McGroin

One of the story arcs has gone nowhere (I'm up to E7) and the other isn't really doing much S1 did. Feels very much to me this is being milked as so many of these things are. I got Prime so am watching S4 of the Boys. Meh, same thing. Loved it at first with it's perspective twist and the vile super hero sex and violence, but now the novelty has worn off I'm struggling to get through it. Mrs Rents refuses to watch Fall Out so I'll have to find time to watch that by myself on my lovely frame TV.
Gemmill 49267
I can picture you standing in front of your frame TV cos it's too high on the wall, chin-strokingly admiring the work of art that is Ella Purnell. Re Silo, I would say it moves at a pace not dissimilar to the books, of which there's 3. Toonpack reckons there's gonna be a S3 and S4. There's still loads to get through yet so I think that makes sense - they couldn't do what's left in 10 episodes.
Gemmill 49267
We've just started the Lockerbie thing with Colin Firth. I'm only 15 minutes in, so at the minute it just feels like a big budget episode of Casualty.

One of my old collegues was absolutely loaded because of compo his wife got from Lockerbie (think half her family were wiped out, but never really asked ). Always buying new cars, think he had 5 sports cars. Worked for pocket money.
Holden McGroin 7411
fallout is my top series from 2024. Absolute class. And I never played the game but the nerds say it’s good too.

Just watched Carry-On with Jason Bateman. Not bad, some of it far fetched but an easy watch.

Mate of mine was on the Weardale Mountain Rescue team when it happened, they helped with the recovery of wreckage from Kielder Forest. Not just wreckage either, lots of luggage and personal items, “bits” , and a lad with him found a shoe with the foot still in it. Grim. 2

Ayatollah Hermione 14554
I’m enjoying Silo, it’s just slower than last season. Will work better as a binge rather than week to week

There’s a bit of Mormon “not happy” going around about it, but (trying to avoid spoilers) that “incident” did actually happen and they did indeed do it. Brigham Young also apparently accurately portrayed, they say not, of course.
