David Kelly 1245
Watched the first episode of the first series last night and enjoyed it. Thought it all escalated nicely with the homeopathy conversation at the dinner party Aye that was quality. His reaction was just how I'd like to think I'd react in the same position. Not that I'm likely to be at a dinner party any time soon.

Renton 21624
Sharon trying to ascertain whether she had sex or not by inspecting the gusset of her knickers was brilliant. Love uncomfortable telly viewing.

Monkeys Fist 42442
Been watching The Last Kingdom, on BBC. Really is very good, the lead actor, Alexander Dreymon ( a kraut, by jingo!), is very good, as are the supporting cast. It's based around the Danish invasion of Wessex in the time of King Alfred. Tooj 17
Watched the first ep of that Man in the High Castle - not bad at all - will probably watch the rest.Is it true to the book?
NJS 4385
Is it true to the book?Wouldn't know - I do read a lot of sci-fi but when I've tried to read the so called classical authors I've found them impenetrable. The only one of his I tried was Do they dream...... and I gave up on it.
Howay 12496
Is it true to the book? I watched half of the first episode and it seems they changed a few of the characters backgrounds and where they are. Juliana seemed to be in the Pacific States rather than Carson City (or wherever she starts in the book) maybe it could be starting before where the book was set? As I know Juliana makes references to how she used to live in the Pacific states. I'll be giving it a go as well like.

David Kelly 1245
I've found it quite slow going and watching it while I was ill probably didn't help as it seemed quite confusing. I'm about half way through now though so I'll watch it to the end.
Meenzer 15526
Speaking of slow going, worked my way through London Spy at the weekend. There's "atmospheric and brooding" and then there's taking the piss.
David Kelly 1245
Was going to give that a go. Not worth it then?
Meenzer 15526
See how you feel after the first episode I reckon. It's beautifully shot and gets quite interesting, but it doesn't get any snappier, so if four more hours of the same pace is likely to irritate you then you know what to do. Ayatollah Hermione 13866
Fargo Season 2 has just wrapped up and it's better than the first. And I thought the first season was some of the best drama to come out of the US in years.
Alex 35079
Aye. I only need to see the last episode but I think it's been quality (and I liked the first season too) I think Ted Danson and Kirsten Dunst are particularly good.
Gemmill 44876
I think I might be two episodes behind. But aye it's been mint. The recent episode in the cabin was tremendous.
Alex 35079
Episode 9 was on 4 last night but I think the last one aired in the States last night so you're only one behind if you've been watching it on Channel 4.
David Kelly 1245
The second last episode went a bit weird but generally I think it's been great. I've not loved Kirsten Dunst or Jesse Plemmons in it until the last few episodes mind. Ted Danson, Patrick Wilson, Jeffrey Donovan and the indian guy have all been excellent though.
