Gemmill 44093
Just discovered Icefilms and 1Channel on XBMC. Unbelievable stuff. Search for any film or TV show and be watching within seconds. It ranks all films by IMDB rating too, so you can just work your way through highly rated stuff you haven't watched.
adios 717
I could never get XBMC to work properly. might give it another go now. particularly like the idea of sorting by imdb rating.

ChezGiven 0
Shut Up And Play The Hits is on Film 4 on Friday night. Not seen it before but can't wait for it. I had tickets for the last tour in Paris but my best mate was playing at Ministry of Sound so decided to go there instead. Incorrect decision in retrospect. Barney 0
I've not seen it yet myself. Looking forward to watching it. I saw them live a couple of times and loved them.

Ayatollah Hermione 13760
On now. It's fucking amazing btw. Empirical proof that a band doesn't need "hits" to be great.
ChezGiven 0
I want to compare it to Stop Making Sense, there were plenty of shots paying homage to Bernie Worrell and sparse white lights etc. Difference being that 30 years on, it comes with added self-introspection and day after melancholy. Loved Arcade Fire during North American Scum but the highlight was Someone Great which is a song, sadly, I associate with the death of a mate's dad. Can't believe I had tickets for that tour and didn't go.

David Kelly 1216
Just saw that shut up and play the hits was on as it was about to start on +1 so I recorded it on there and left it on from where it was on film 4 as I was drifting off to sleep. Seemed excellent so I'm really looking forward to seeing the whole thing properly.

A decision that will destroy you from the inside one you've watched SUAPTH! To have been at the NY gig, that would have been unbelievable, but I'm sure any dates on the tour would have been pretty amazing!
Tooj 17
Still haven't got round to watching that actually. Phenomenal group.
ChezGiven 0
I wished it was a bit more of a film of a concert than a film about a concert. Good film and plenty of goose bump moments, I had the sound though the amp and the Bose headphones, sitting in the dark, so the music was very good. Happy Face 29
A touch of cloth. I don't watch the detective shows because of everything about them in this. Lots of obvious jokes but lots of funny ones as well. Not up there with airport or owt but the jokes are that thick and fast.
Christmas Tree 4669
This Jamie Oliver series currently going out on Channel 4 is absolutely spot on. Always thought he was a bit arty farty before but everything he knocks up on this looks a doddle. Well worth a watch.

Christmas Tree 4669
Not having a go, but did you really think Jamie "Pukka" Oliver was Arty Farty? A few years ago I tried one or two of his recipes that I thought were over complicated given the result. Probably aimed at 20 something (there he goes again) foodies. This series is much more aimed at you more limited and penny wise households and I think he's got it bang on. Have you seem it? Probably aimed at 20 something (there he goes again) foodies. This series is much more aimed at you more limited and penny wise households and I think he's got it bang on. Have you seem it? 2 things; first why does age make a difference? the majority of the foodies I know are at the greying side of their 30s, maybe they have a kid or two so can't go out. They turn to foodyism as an escape, just like any other hobby really. secondly, yeah I've seen it. It's a bit patronising, but anything that gets people having a bit of confidence in the kitchen is grand. Used a couple of his recipes for the housewarming/BBQ on Saturday, with his burgers I added some chilli flakes to one batch and sun-dried tomatos to the other. The former went down a storm, the others didn't get the same reviews, more like "Yeah they were nice". anyway, enough food chat in the tv thread.
