Bonamental 0
I'm 6 episodes into the first season of The Shield and have lined up season 6 of Dexter and the first season of Spartacus to accompany it. We're watching that Sky One show Strike Back as well - I think it's shite, but she likes it. Love a bit of Strike Back. I mean its obviously bollocks, but its entertaining bollocks. Two blokes dick around in random country, shooting/blowing up nearly everything that moves and the yank fucks a different hot girl each episode. What's not to like? (aside from the tea spoon depth of the characters and plot)
ewerk 30161
I'd always assumed that CT's online persona was a long running tribute to Alan Partridge.

Meenzer 15346
It's by Armando Ianucci, Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain mostly. Ianucci co-wrote Alan Partridge and wrote for The Day Today. The other two write Peep Show and a film called Four Lions, with Chris Morris of Brass Eye fame. Basically, if you start with Iannucci and connect the dots, you'll get some of the best British comedy of the last 20 years The Armando Iannucci Shows was an underrated gem (well, I assume it was - I was living in Foreign when it went out, but it doesn't seem to be particularly well-remembered) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Q-RbxPV2PI Not to mention Time Trumpet

Guest CabayeAye
loads of shows started again last night, dexter, family guy, american dad, homeland plus boardwalk episode 3! I used to love Family Guy, but the new series is pretty poor TBH. And that episode with Gervais was just painfully unfunny. American Dad still has a lot of mileage in it though. Bonamental 0
Even I'VE watched Partridge and I haven't seen Pulp Fiction or any James Bond film! I can understand (just about) never getting round to seeing Pulp Fiction, but Bond films seem to be on tv so often, how do you avoid them? Are you at the point of putting effort in to keep this claim alive?!

(aside from the tea spoon depth of the characters and plot) the dialogue is terrible. The good thing is that the story line resets every two episodes, so I can just switch off and know I can pick it up a maximum of one episode later. Aye, the dialogue is pretty poor, but its proper switch your brain off type tv. With added explosions!

wykikitoon 19803
New Red Dwarf tonight, looking forwards to it! I was, but after watching Back to Earth a few week back I couldnt help but feel deflated by it. There was no audience laughter IIRC and this added to how pants it was. I have it on record so fingers crossed.

Proper studio audience, on board the Dwarf, bunk room etc etc. Going to give it a try. But yeah, thought Back To Earth was pretty dire.
