Billy Castell 0
Thanks for that move guys. You saved us a fortune! Happy days. That photo is the reason why Freddy should never return. That, and calling your women slags, calling you idiots, treating Sir Bobby Robson so shoddily.......................And here are two more reasons. If Shearer doesn't sign up for next season, I hope you have better luck in picking your managers. Edited May 18, 2009 by Billy Castell
Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
I must admit to feeling a little sorry for Freddy. He was doing what he thought was best. Roeder painted himself into the job, and Sam should have worked out if he wasnt such a clueless wanker. I cant blame freddy for that, I remember a lot of fans being quite happy with BS. I must admit, I've been wondering this week if we should've stuck with Sam a bit longer...

Geoff 0
last I heard he was looking at Leeds. I thought those league 1 inbreds had been cursed with him please, please, please lets not get him back - it would be worse than relegation
Dr Gloom 22513
great idea. then after a couple of years fred can sell to ashley again, who'll take us down another division before selling the club back to fred a couple of years after that...

I notice you don't mention Souness there. I could understand why Shapard went for Allerdyce, I wasn't surprised by the Roeder appointment, but Graham fucking Souness....Every club he has been with apart from one decent season at Blackburn he has managed to completely fuck up on the pitch, off the pitch leaving untold damage for years to come, particularly for ourselves. It's for that appointment that means I will never feel sorry for/forgive Shepard and of course it also coincided with the sacking of Sir Bobby who had finally gotten us going as a team again in the previous seasons. Billy Castell 0
Re TicTacWoe: I agree with you, and I have a lot to thank Souness for (promotion and a league cup). Sam was seen as someone who could bring a solid structure to the team and give you stability. Souness............God knows why. I think you had a load of egos at the time, such as that lovely Mr. Bellamy and Souness was seen as the man to put the arrogant twats in their place. However, there was one problem with that plan-Souness can't man manage anyone and is tactically inept. Whilst at Rovers he frequently fell out with our rather big headed players like Dwight Yorke and David Dunn, and indeed he nearly broke the former in two with a thigh high tackle in a 5 a side game in training. Before he signed up to join Newcastle, Blackburn had great talents like Nissa Johansson (whose only claim to fame was to be stamped on and elbowed in the face by Dennis Bergkamp), and our flying left winger Dominic Matteo. Now let me just state that again: Dominic Matteo was being played on the left wing!!! If that wasn't a warning to Freddy about Souness' tactical nous, I will never know. LeazesMag 0
Can't there be a third option rather than Shepherd or Ashley? ;) Supporter owned? we'll get the NUSC back on the case. Speaking of which, if and when we go down, I'd laugh my tits off if Ashley ended up selling for about £80m after he mocked the fans with comments about how we could buy the club ourselves if we weren't happy with him after KK walked. Then I hope he gets bad AIDS. this. I don't see anything other than a chairman/owner [whatever] being a fan of the club being anything other than a plus to be honest. Barney 0
Souness kept playing centre midlfielders on the wing. I think in one game we had 4 central midfielders. I wonder what would have happened had Souness been allowed sign Anelka instead of Luque(and then Owen), and gone with 4-3-3.
Billy Castell 0
Anelka and Souness would have had one almighty fall out, with Anelka demanding a transfer to a 'bigger club'. This would be after he was played repeatedly on the right wing, and an interview for L'Equipe in which Anelka says the coaching standards are rubbish, and the manager is a twat. After selling Anelka to someone for £10m Souness would buy crap players who happen to have his friend Willie McKay as their agent, and Barry Ferguson. Wee Barry would cry home to Weegieland after a season or two because he is homesick and suffering from Methadone and deep fried Mars bar withdrawl symptoms, and Newcastle would find themselves flirting with relegation. Apart from managing to get £10m (Souey would have slagged him to the point where we'd have maybe got £3m for him) this is absolutely on the money sadly. That fucking Barry Ferguson cost us 7.5m. He then spends a year out injured and cries off home to Glasgow as soon as he recovers from injury for £4.5m. That little cunt couldn't hack it away from the goldfish bowl where he is a big man. It is great how he has fallen from grace and is now being linked to................West Brom. LeazesMag 0
I recon we'll be bought out in the Summer. Not by Shephard though...... hopefully. 2 ways of looking at it, is that the club will be cheaper to prospective [good ?] buyers, and while Ashley would then take a big loss, he might decide to do it while the chance is there, rather than gamble heavy investment to get his money back in full.
