Yep, it bothers me that there's teams down there who are used to that league and will probably have more money to spend than us as well.

Some good away trips which as I said before I'll be making more of - depending on the timing I'd agree with Plymouth as a 0 if its in the depths of Winter but it was an excellent day out when we went ther in late April/May in 1990.

Of course I realise its a pisser of an actual trip for those in the NE but surely a chance for a weekend.

New grounds for me: Leicester, Doncaster, Blackool, Cardiff, Swansea, Millwall, Coventry.

I'm not a betting man, but if Boro can keep most of their team (Downing will go for deffo) - and get a decent Championship striker - they would be a good bet to bounce straight back up. Far better placed than us imo.

Agreed. With a canny few up-and-coming young local lads they should have a much smaller turnover of players than we'll have with our big egos and big earners.

I would love to know where you got those figures from Stevie.

Derby rarely fall below 25K for home games and are usually nearer the 30K mark

I cant see us coming straight back up. Its very difficult to get out of that league and we 'll probably get rid of ~10 playing staff at least.

That sort of turnover cant help with fluidity although it is essential.

What about the backroom cuts that will be made to streamline the business? Who knows where else FMA will swing the axe?

The potential repercussions are mind boggling.

Thats just down the road for me, shant be missing that one!

Theyve not done bad at all to stay in the Championship. I like Plymouth, they have a good rapport with Torquay fans.

They have had pretty stable gates despite being rubbish since dropping out of the prem.

What makes you draw that conclusion?

What one season where they were expected to bounce straight back where season tickets were cheap as chips in you purchased before April? Look at their gates prior to that 22000-25000 not bad, but there's one club in Deryshire and a population of 1m.

Making light of relegation, I'll definitely be going to the Newcastle Forest game, hopefully I could wangle a ticket in the away end, although it would probably sell out. ;) The Reading matches are a given of course.

I think it's quite possible that if we were relegated there would be more clubs bringing 3,000 plus here than in the Premiership, as it truly would be their Cup Final for many of them.

I think the Reading allocation may be less Stevie. I was in the Reading end with Meenzer both premiership games and the club didn't like our persistant standing. Didn't sell us beer the second season, and so I'd imagine they'd punish the fans further by selling fewer tickets this time round.

Thats in the Prem, they're getting 18 19000 in the CCC. They'll give us the full end.
