snakehips 0
UK has 30,000,000 packets of drugs against this pig flu. If a poor nation such as Honduras, Mexico ,or similar asked us for 5 to 10 million of our stock, would you agree?? After all, socialism is all about spreading wealth and helping the less fortunate among us.

I give the vaccine to everyone I can, shoot everyone I can't, then tell the state-owned media that we've vaccinated 100% of the populace. This game is easy. Next question? Fop 1
It's an interesting point though. Especially when you consider things like immigration. A £100,000 gives maybe 5 imported people a decent standard of living in the UK, yet that same £100,000 if used sensibly can raise 1000's of people standards of living by a vast amount in their own countries. Of course the downside can be the unintended consequences, like reducing child death and ending up with a population explosion which increases general mortality and reduces overall living standards no matter how much money you throw at it. ChezGiven 0
imported people Interesting point though. Difference for me is, the 100k spent in the UK remains within the Uk economy and is then spent by its recipients, who then spend it too, who then spend it too etc. Its called the multiplier and is the foundation of Keynesianism. Send it abroad and its a dead loss to the domestic economy, spend it here and there are broader benefits.
