Bar Beye/Bassong/Guthrie I think the whole squad has been a pretty awful buy. All came with reputations but never once have they come close to showing their potential. Owen, Duff, Butt, Colli, Jonas, Martins, Xisco, Enrique, Barton, Geremi, Smith, Nolan, Raylor...there is not one player out of that lot that you could say was a good buy.

I think, despite his shortcomings, Milner was a good signing overall and there's no doubt Given was a great signing. Guess why I brought those two up.

Bassong was a good buy as was Beye and Enrique the rest of them are poor at best when you consider the shedload of wages they pick up - Ashley must be cursing when you look at the players little Dennis bought - what a waste

duff didn't look too bad at left back. bearing in mind enriques prob out for the season, i reckon he could do a job for us.

 

he's lost a load of pace mind. and his confidence is clearly shot.

 

my top 3 are

 

Rtaylor. shit footballer. no confidence when playing for us.

Staylor. simply not good enough.

Viduka. how much do we pay him. and for what.

 

honorable mentions go to

 

Owen. it could have been so different had he not had that injury.

colocinni. not a premiership player. too slow at this level.

martins. a sprinter that has 2 tricks and can kick the ball very hard but completely innacurately. not a footballer.

barton. jailbait. good player if the mood takes him.

smith. fucking awful player that doesn't know his best position.

 

We didn't sign Staylor, came through the academy, but I agree he isnt good enough.
