ewerk 30385
Frampton has also fought nearly all his big fights in Belfast and, while he'll have a lot of support, it won't be the same as fighting in front of a full house at the Odyssey Arena. Sounds like he has no shortage of support there tonight.
Dr Gloom 21861
James Nesbitt was just interviewed ringside, sounding absolutely shitfaced in a Northern Ireland shirt

Dr Gloom 21861
Both way too scared of getting caught on evidence so far, so little is landing and when they do land it's the odd shot, no combinations
Dr Gloom 21861
Finally looked like breaking into a fight that round

ewerk 30385
Eh? He was the only one interested in boxing in the first half of the fight.
Dr Gloom 21861
Quigg stronger in the closing rounds. Shame he did fuck all for the first six or seven
Alex 34938
I agree but he only looked good when Quigg was overawed early on and did nowt. Looked like a shadow of his normal self when the fight caught fire. Could easily win on Pts and probably rightly so.

Dr Gloom 21861
i don't think either of them really did enough. Both too passive. One of the few fights where a draw would have been a fair result Edited February 27, 2016 by Dr Gloom
Alex 34938
I think Frampton won on points like. But Quigg will totally regret not making it a brawl earlier. When he did, Frampton couldn't handle him on the whole
Dr Gloom 21861
Marginal though, wasn't it? Not exactly convincing. I wasn't surprised it split the judges.
Alex 34938
Marginal though, wasn't it? Not exactly convincing. I wasn't surprised it split the judges.i don't think it was, purely because of the way the scoring works. Frampton won more rounds. If you look at the fight as a whole then you would ha to say Quigg had the better of the proper exchanges. Difficult to make a case for him winning more than 1 of the first 6 rounds though. Even if Quigg wasnt getting hit, Frampton won most of them on attacking intent and work rate alone
Dr Gloom 21861
Frampton was busier in the early rounds but barely anything was thrown by either of them and next to nothing was landing, quite a few of them could have easily been scored 10-10. It was a shame the fight didn't really get going till round 7 or 8. Nice of Frampton to tell us he knew it was going to be a boring fight. The cunt could have saved us 15 notes. Alex 34938
Aye, they looked like it had never occurred to them he might be behind Reckon he was about 3 rounds behind after 4 and lost the last so that gave him shitloads to do to even make it a close fight and he never really got going until after round 6. Those of us without morals got it for free on Kodi. Shame that for the first 6 rounds or so even free was too expensive!
