For the brawl, apparently. Detained for questioning. Heavyweight boxing is such a fucking joke. I half expect to hear about George Foreman making another comeback.

I don't think it was put on like the Audley fight, these 2 genuinely hate each other as does Frank Warren hate Haye too.

I can remember when Haye fought Enzo Mac (Not even going to attempt to spell it) and Warren said if he loses he will give up promoting which he took a lot of shit for, he's also insinuated that Haye and his trainer have used HGH to bulk up from Cruiserweight in the past too.

I'd like to see them fight as I think it would be competitive unlike a Haye vs Vitali fight, I wouldn't read too much in to Chisora's recent record as he was robbed on the scorecards in his last fight, I know compubox doesn't give a fair reflection of the fight but he landed nearly double the punches of his opponent and still didn't get the decision.

Heavyweight boxing is terrible though and has been for nearly a decade.

Think it might be a decent fight actually, although neither of them are that great. Could see it being a bit like the Haye v Macarenelli (don't know if that's the spelling either ;) ) with them both just going for it and not worrying too much about defence. Think they'd be quite well matched too.

Chisora has shown he's durable enough with good stamina, 2 things that Haye struggles with so I think it could be a good one. Haye's fast with excellent power but his run at heavyweight is overrated due to winning a close fight with someone who's 7ft, even though the same bloke got a gift decision against old man Holyfield.

Speaking on the brawl I always remember Larry Holmes drop kicking someone off the top of a car. Others were Lewis vs Tyson, Barrera vs Morales and Riddick Bowe put 2 on someone in the face off.

Who were the 2 British guys (I think) rolling around in the street with their suits on in the build up?

CHISORA LOSES FIGHT LICENCE

Dereck Chisora has had his licence withdrawn by the British Boxing Board of Control following his behaviour in Munich last month, according to his promoter Frank Warren.

The Londoner was involved in a number of controversial incidents before and after his WBC heavyweight title challenge against Vitali Klitschko, slapping his opponent at the weigh-in, spitting water at Klitschko's brother Wladimir and brawling with British rival David Haye following the points defeat.

Chisora was called before the Board in Cardiff today and Warren revealed he has had his licence taken away indefinitely.

"His licence got withdrawn and what will happen now is we'll consider whether to appeal the decision," Warren said.

The Fight of their Lives. Itv at 1035 tonight.

Documentary about Benn v McClelland. Should be worth a watch.

Was excellent. What a ragtag mob McLellan's corner was. They made Pauly and Mick seem competent, surely when they saw him blinking like someone from North Shields on a bad cowie, the towel should've been thrown. Very sad to see McLellan like he is, but he was a bit of a nob, mind so was Benn. I never liked Benn in those days even though he was the nations favourite when basically he was a mug, Eubank was a mug but I found him more likeable. Also I remain far from convinced Benn wasn't on steroids then, alright one minute, passing out the next, meaning no blood test, it certainly leaves that door of uncertainty open. What a cracking show though.

The craic with his dog showed what kind of arsehole the man was, what goes around etc

David Haye vows to inflict 'a slow, concussive beating' on Dereck Chisora

David Haye vowed to inflict a "slow, concussive beating" on Dereck Chisora after their controversial all-British grudge match was confirmed on Tuesday. Chisora's manager Frank Warren announced that West Ham's Upton Park ground would host a fight between the two British heavyweights on 14 July.

The pair sparked outrage when they brawled in the press conference room following Chisora's points defeat to WBC heavyweight champion Vital Klitschko in February. At a heated press conference at Upton Park on Tuesday, in which Haye and Chisora's camps were separated by a seven-foot steel fence, the two men exchanged insults and Haye vowed to beat Finchley fighter Chisora in July.

"He is the ideal opponent for me," Haye said. "I am so glad he has got a good chin because if he didn't have a good chin he would be blasted out in first round. This means I will give him a nice, slow, concussive beating. I tried to knock him out in Munich and this is the opportunity to shut him up."

Chisora, flanked by eight burly security guards, angrily retorted: "I don't like him. David, you need to get style. Your corn rows are out of fashion. Talk is cheap now. That was a lucky shot he hit me with in Munich. David: you are winning 1-0 but come July I am coming to whoop your ass. Your talk is cheap. You always talk but you don't deliver in the ring."

The two men then exchanged another barb, revealing they had seen each other in London recently. Chisora said: "I saw David Haye a couple of weeks and he pulled a knife. Haye responded: "I was eating a steak. It was in a restaurant."

The fight has had to be sanctioned by the Luxembourg Boxing Federation after the British Boxing Board of Control withdrew Chisora's licence following his antics in Munich. Haye does not have a British licence after he handed it in following his last fight in 2011 – his defeat to Wladimir Klitschko.

Warren insisted that he was not undermining the British Boxing Board of Control by going to Luxembourg for the fight's licence. "This is not the end of British boxing," Warren said. "I believe it will be a sell out, a huge event. There are far far worse things happening in sport than what's happening here. No charges have been made against Haye or Dereck for what happened in Munich.

"The hearing was put back to July so Dereck will have effectively been out of the ring for six months and that equates, if he was a footballer, to being out of action for 24 matches," Warren added. "He has lost half of his purse in sanctions and costs since the Klitschko fight. He has no qualifications, the next thing for him to do would be to sign on.

"He is not banned from boxing. The fight has been licenced by the governing body in Luxembourg, which has the same standards as the British Boxing Board of Control. It is the biggest fight of the year and the fact of the matter is that the fight is legal, lawful and will go ahead."

What a pair of clown shoes these two are

To be fair to Haye he was at the press conference where the fight broke out attempting to get a fight with Vitali so he was looking to come out of retirement anyway.
