Fop 1
Fortunately the two antiviral drugs the UK have stocked up on seem to be very effective against this strain. Hilariously, neither tamiflu or relenza actually work. Just ask Rents. The experts can't agree. Thank fuck for Glaxo and Roche though eh fop? So it will work? Don't play with my emotions. I've got a runny nose. They only work on certain strains and are only useful if you take it early enough, as Rents said. The article above is fair to an extent as the old adage is true, there aint no cure for the common cold. Or piglet sneezes. Of course Flu (strangely the point of this thread) is a completely different thing, unless you are like Renty and don't believe in current research. Happy Face 29
Hmm. Interesting article, the bit at the end where the author reveals he's a herbalist is a bit telling though, and nonsense, of course. The 99% resistance in US seasonal influenza to oseltamivir is news to me, I'll have to get my RA on that. Cheers HF. Are you one of the people involved in making that 100% chemical egg? Herbalism is just basically primitive pharmacology in all honesty. What I find ironic is the belief that it is somehow safer because 'it's natural'. The reverse is actually true because it has been subjected to virtually no research (no post marketing survellance for instance) and there are huge quality control issues. Herbalism will never be used to treat any real, serious disease safely or effectively.

Guest alex
If you got into specifics I'd imagine you'd be looking at a life expectancy of around 50 years. That's pure guess work like. Although they probably are 'healthier' in many ways than your average fat cunt from the West. Lifestyle, basically.

They don't use Gross National Product there to measure prosperity, they use Gross National Happiness. If these African tribes are happy then that's just because ignorance is bliss. I doubt many of us would be happy to suffer terribly from all sorts of parasitic illnesses, dying when our teeth wear out, and watching half our children die shortly after being born. Get off your keyboard and try it if you disagree.

trophyshy 7084
There is a tribe in south america who take pleasure and great happiness in the passing of family members. They shed no grief only joy. Ignorance is bliss by the way. That's really interesting, do you know which tribe? Do they take it one step further and kill eachother with kindness? It's obvious to me not everyone can achieve their goals by reading his books. How can everyone possibly be successful in life, business etc.? It's just Californian pyscho-bullshit imo. Fair enough, but you usually come across as the sort of person who does not dismiss a subject without fact or reason. If you ever get bored and at a loss, buy one of his books (awaken the giant within) off ebay for a couple of quid and I guarantee you that after one chapter, if nothing else, you will no longer view him as "Californian pyscho-bullshit". If you or anyone else prefers, theres also a very good audi book called get the edge on mininova. I think I'll pass. Cheers anyway.
