TicTacWoe 0
I think Shearer will surround himself with enough good people to ensure success - whether he can get to the very top only time will tell-but he is not daft and i like what he has done so far-my only concern would be his motivational capabilities - but give the lad a chance. If he doesn't stay though (of his own volition) and we are relegated Roberto Martinez for me - top class propect and likes football to be played properly Good shout that, he's going about his business impressively so far though seems committed to Swansea for the time being at least. Aye i heard he was already sorting the squad out for next season but maybe the challenge that we represent would appeal to him - I know west brom got out of that division playing nice football but there is not many who do and he came very close to a play off place - i also reckon if WBA hadn't committed transfer suicide they would have been ok this season
Billy Castell 0
What do you think of Dowie been assistant manager? Personally, I thought it was a bit of an odd choice as he hasn't been a great manager, has a reputation for falling out with players and having a very old fashioned way of doing training. He seems like a younger Graeme Souness if you believe what you read.

Christmas Tree 4821
Todays Sun ALAN SHEARER has turned all Big Brother — and Newcastle’s stars are getting twitchy. Shearer has steadied Tyneside’s sinking ship by cracking the whip and launching tough new guidelines. They include warning players not to go out on the Toon after matches. Super Al claims he has spies all over the city. If he does not see a player doing something wrong, someone else will. Alex Ferguson famously once dragged Ryan Giggs and Lee Sharpe out of a party when they were lads. And Newcastle defender Steven Taylor now fears the same treatment as the lax regimes of Kevin Keegan and Joe Kinnear are consigned to the past. The England Under-21 skipper said: “Everyone realises they can’t do just anything any more. “Alan Shearer is from Newcastle. He knows people throughout the city and will find out everything. He’s like Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. You can get away with nothing. “That is what this football club needed. People come here on big bucks and can’t think it’s a jolly-up. Now if I go into a restaurant, I’m thinking ‘He knows what I’m eating. Will I order chips or not?’ I’m wary. “And because we live in the same area, in the supermarket there are no sweets, nothing like that. You’re thinking ‘Is he going to find out? Will he see the cameras’? If someone looks at me, I’m thinking ‘Does he know where I’m going’?” With Shearer at the helm, the mess made by Mike Ashley is beginning to work itself out and Taylor reckons it is behind the scenes where the Toon legend’s work is really doing the trick. He added: “I think with the gaffer and Iain Dowie, and the strict regime they’ve put in, it has given a lot of players a kick up the backside.” A home win over Fulham today should be enough for Shearer to start planning for the future. Last Monday’s 3-1 win over Boro — Taylor scored the equaliser — has confidence flowing again. Taylor added: “We did our jobs right. We’re Premier League players and that is how we want it to stay.”
