Howaythelads 0
I imagine this will turn into a joke thread ( quite a range etc etc ) but I'm wondering if anybody has any idea of what I should expect to pay for a 40kw combi boiler, plus installation? I want the boiler to be fitted in the loft space anarl, not downstairs. Cheers
manc-mag 1
£1,495.95 VAT and labour inclusive price. Not a penny more not a penny less.
Smooth Operator 10
I'm paying £2500 to have my boiler bought/fitted in my garage, the pipes all rerouted to it, old back boiler/gas fire & water tank removed and various raditors relocated and 2 new ones installed. And that was the fiddle job price! It's a pricey business, finding a plasterer has been even worse though! Are there any moonlighting on here want to earn some money? Smooth Operator 10
I more than agree but we found a bloke who charged 30 quid a room for our old house and did a cracking job and was clean & tidy too, it's just with him being so cheap he's always busy and hasn't gotten back to us yet and we need our kitchen plastered by Xmas. Wacky reckons he's a dab hand at it but there's a reason why that daft cunt hasn't been through my front door!

Geordie Boyo 24
tut, tut! Give Newcastle Warm Zone a ring. You might be entitled to get free insulation and a free upgrade to your central heating. As far as our insulation criteria goes we look to see if the householder is in an area of regeneration through your post code, which in my case turned out to be the case in which I received the free measures. We also look to see if anyone within that household is on any benefits. We have chosen 12 different benefits in which you may qualify to get he job done for free. We also look to see if it is local authority or owner occupied, in which you would qualify if its owner occupied, or private rented. Lastly we have an fuel poverty calculation which we use. Basically it calculates from your income and heating appliances used how much you'd spend on your heating bills a year. If it's a substantial amount and calculates over 8% on our system you will be entitled to get the job done for free. As far as our central heating scheme is concerned we do use a different criteria due to the funding we have of this four year project. So, we look to see if your owner occupied, 10% and over in fuel poverty, in a RDF area of funding which again we check through your postcode and also if your not receiving any benefits at all. Obviously we'd also have your heating system surveyed to see what's wrong with it, whether anything is at all or it's just a very old out of date boiler. IF you did qualify through that criteria you'd get a free upgrade to your central heating. It's always worth a try. You don’t necessarily have to be in the area of Newcastle to be assessed. We also have Gateshead Warm Zone as well as Northumberland Warm Zone. http://www.newcastle.gov.uk/warmzone.nsf/a...tlewarmzonework If you didn't qualify we do have another scheme. The Home Energy savers able to pay scheme. Your looking at a maximum price of £99's subject to survey, but could get it done for £49 half price if there's a health condition within that household.
