peasepud 59
I have this PC which is fully installed with my broadband, Im in the middle of swapping it with another, slightly better one but when I try to install the broadband on the new one it goes through the whole process of setting up account etc. Am I missing something? or do I just need to install the drivers for the modem? although I seem to be having problems even just doing that. Anyone know if I can just swap some files over onto new PC to get it to run?

Charlotte 0
I would reccomend that you bought 2 network cards, You can get 2 belkin Cards for 50 pound which allows both pc's to access the internet at the same time for no extra cost. I have 3 pc's in my house and they are connected through Belkin and I have had no problems!

Matt 0
Routers are the way forward, even for just a single connection. They seem to be generally more reliable than USB modems. As for the modem issue- you cant simply transfer files as the setup process on the CD will very like put various entries in the Windows registry which you can't transfer manually without some very careful tinkering. You will have to go through the setup procedures again and will probably have to stick in your account details unless its one of these modems which remembers your details (which it probably isn't). Rob W 0
Thats why you should try the Wizard - but TBBH its so much faffing about its probably faster just to install it from scratch again
