Scottish Mag 3
Newcastle United midfielder Kevin Nolan has urged his colleagues to be more ruthless if they want to retain their Premier League status. Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at St James' Park means The Magpies are third from bottom in the table after going five league matches without success. Nolan believes Newcastle have the talent to get themselves out of trouble, but need to adopt a more aggressive attitude on the pitch if they are to save themselves. "It's down to us now to start being ruthless, ruthless with each other and against teams," explained Nolan. "But the lads are up for the fight and certainly, I believe we have got enough in the changing room and I don't believe we will go down. "Even though we are in a sticky situation at the moment, I am 100 per cent positive that we will still be in the Premier League come the end of the season." Not with you strolling about the middle of the fucking park we won't...
peasepud 59
Dear Kevin, Please please please open a Bookies when you retire (hopefully soon). I promise if you do that I'll be in there every day with that kind of stupidity.
Big Onion 0
Gary Speed could probably still do a better job than Nolan. He looks nowt special at all from what I've seen so far. I felt at the time that Given & Nzogbia out/Taylor & Nolan in = weaker squad, and nothing I've seen so far makes me think any different.

Row Z 0
I'm not sure what people expect him to say. "Nolan sure Newcastle will go down" wouldn't be a very good headline, would it. Seems some players get stick no matter what and some players are the darlings of the fans despite being fucking shite, like Martins. Did anyone feel confident at any point that he would score that pen?
TicTacWoe 0
He's getting stick because he said he's 100% confident of us staying up, it just comes across as false confidence or delusional. Obiously he shouldn't be saying he's sure we'll go down but he must be aware that it is an increasingly strong possibility.
Happy Face 29
I'm not sure what people expect him to say. In decreasing order of desirability. 1) Nowt 2) We're fully aware of the challenge ahead. When you're in the relegation places getting into April, it would be ridiculous to claim you're too good to go down. 3) I retire.
Sir Bob Almighty! 0
Do you think he'll be "confident of us coming back up" if we go down. Will he even still be here to make such comments? I doubt it. Its probably just a desperate hope that we stay up because no-one else will want him. Bet he regrets moving here now, when you think about it Raylor and Nolan must be idiots to transfer here from clubs that were never really in any danger of going down. I certainly wouldnt do it
