Scottish Mag 3
Newcastle United vice-president Malcolm Dix has told Joe Kinnear not to rush back from his heart triple by-pass. Dix is fully aware of Kinnear's issue having needed open heart surgery in the 90s and is concerned that the Magpies boss could endanger his health by returning too soon. Dix - whose grandfather Walter was a founding member of Newcastle in the 1880s - is a respected voice on Tyneside and he is worried about Kinnear returning as early as the Stoke clash on April 11. "I actually had a quintuple heart operation compared with Joe's triple op, but the fact I was younger at 50 - compared to his 62 - balances things out," he told The People. "My advice to Joe would be not to resume his duties as manager of Newcastle for at least six months, which would take us to the start of next season. "The first six months after an operation of this kind are nothing short of horrendous. "There are all the side affects and it's not just muscular as the body reacts to everything, but psychologically as well."

NJS 4411
Who the fuck is Malcolm Dix? He tried to do what Hall did but wasn't as rich or as big a cunt - he ended up taking a seat on the board (for no gain) iirc.

Ugly Mackems 134
Who the fuck is Malcolm Dix? A dissenting voice as far back as the Seymour / McKeag years. Was an active participant in the 'Supporters For Change' campaign that ultimately brought Hall to power.

JawD 99
So, lets get this right, we get relegated and then not have the manager work (on transfers) until the start of the next season? You know, that sounds exactly like the sort of thing we'd do. No wink.

Nyff 0
I can see Kinnear dying on the touchline. Literally. How's that then? He gets bored of watching us play in black and white and tries to change the shirts to a sort of tie-dye pattern? Kitman 2207
Joe shouldn't come back for his own health and for the good of the club. This seems obvious to most people I think. The only thing that worries me is who'd they get in next......just when you think things can't get worse, they've risen magnificently to the challenge of fucking it up further. I might put a fiver on Howard Wilkinson....

I give you Souness, Kinnear and whichever other resident of the Sunnyside Football Managers Resthome cares to apply in future. In fact no application necessary, wee Dennis will hunt them out.
