Nyff 0
AAAAAAOOOOOO SEBA PLEASE DON'T GO! The rumours of him leaving at the end of the season to join Arsenal are getting more and more widespread, and to be honest, who could blame him? If we get relegated then we are nearly 100% certain to lose one of the brightest prospects we have had in a while now, and even if we do stay up is it really likely that he will stay? I guess it is about time we appreciate his playing now while we have the chance to savor his appearances in the Black and White shirts! (I feel a Bassong Appreciation video is in order...) Row Z 0
Let him go if he wants. We can re-sign Andy O'Brien from Bolton.

Good point that. Good thing for Arsenal we'll be happy to let him go for 5 million, payable in installments of 50p each, starting 2013.

Read something in the Express today (I was getting my hair cut, I don't actually buy it), which sounded very much like Bassong (or his agent) angling for his exit route at the end of the season. JonGoodwyn 1
Newcastle's management want me to sign a contract extension, but nothing has been agreed," Bassong told the Daily Star. "There has been talk of a lot of players leaving during the summer. It's not my responsibility, but I'll obviously follow the situation closely. "It is down to me to weigh up the pros and cons and I will take my time to make up my mind. I've heard about Arsenal, but this is not the time to talk about it. "I have stepped up a level since joining Newcastle, but I am still serving my apprenticeship and have lots more to learn. "For the time being I can say I've made a good choice, though a lot of water has gone under the bridge since my trial last summer and I have earned my place in the first-team."
