Guest Gordon McKeag
Btw Grey Street was voted the 3rd best street in the UK in a recent Google Street View poll thingy. Was voted the best in some other publication ahead of Regent Street. Masively overrated imo. What Grey Street, don't talk your typical wank on a Saturday please. JawD 99
Grey St is not overated like. Look above the the door levels man. My (ok very partial) claim to fame is that one of my great relatives was a sculptor (Christopher Tate) and he sculpted the coat of arms on the theatre royals pediment. Craig 6700
I think Renton was suggesting Regent Street is over-rated tbh... I think both are brilliant examples of architecture - along with the Royal Crescent in Bath. On a smaller scale I think St Thomas' Crescent is a fantastic street too. It's alreet really, once you get off the main burn. All London "high streets" (and particularly South London ones) look identical and just as depressing really. Better to get up into Brockley proper where we actually have trees though.
