Park Life 71
He said: “There is no hiding from the fact injuries have been the bane of my time at Newcastle. It is frustrating, however, and people will probably laugh, but I know I’m not injury-prone. “If you look at my time at Newcastle, the problems started when Paul Robinson landed on my foot against Tottenham just after Christmas. Loads of people get metatarsal injuries, but they are normally not as bad as mine. Nobody’s foot would not have broken in that situation. “I’ve then rushed my preparations for the World Cup. I played half-a-game for Newcastle. After being in plaster for so long my leg was de-conditioned and with hindsight, I should never have gone to Germany with England. “It’s easy to say that now, but if I had my time again I would still have gone because it was a World Cup. I’m not thinking what could have been, but with hindsight my leg was half as strong as it should have been. “Muscles support limbs and I twisted my knee awkwardly and that was it. All that came from someone landing on my foot, so I don’t think it’s my fault.” That knee injury, suffered in the first half of England’s 2-2 draw with Sweden in the final game of the group stage, ruled Owen out for the next ten months and he played just three games for Newcastle the following season." Tbf Paul Robinson used to be a proper fat cunt.

Happy Face 29
I've not been too unhappy with his injury record the last couple of years. 08/09 - 19 appearances. 10th highest at the club. 07/08 - 28 appearances. 5th highest at the club.

Renton 22401
Clearly putting himself in the shop window like. I guess he won't be as important to the club he ends up at compared with how important he is with us in any case.

pertoon 0
When sorry if we go down he will be the first out the door thats assuming theres anybody mad enough to sign him. Everybody gets injured some time but lets face it he is a winging glassback he`s only got to topple over and he`s rolling on the ground in agony. His appearance record is a joke theonly reason he came here is because Liverpool wouldnt take him back EVER WONDERED WHY?. When he has come back it was only so he could be picked for the England squad now he`s out of favour with Capello he`s fucked. And why did Chris Hughton drop Lovenkrans and Ryan Talor against Hull in favour of Owen and Geremi when they had played so well against Manure. I can only suppose Owen is trying to get a few games in the vain hope a Premiership club will offer him a contract. The fact that he can go for nought in the summer after all the money we have paid him is a disgrace. O.K. to be fair he has scored some goals which have helped us from time to time but given his cost experience and reputation a lot of which is self made there have not been enough, ( How long has it been since the last one? ) I for one wont be sorry to see him go.
