Seen one episode you've seen them all, basically.

To an extent - I'd say "seen a few, seen them all" - I've been watching quite a few episodes of House recently and have come to the same conclusion on that.

I still think Miami is worth watching occasionally on the basis of Emily Proctor.

And Caruso's hilariously camp efforts at being tough.

I can't watch Miami, Caruso makes me want to hurl the remote at the tv, I love Vegas though, but I can't quite get into the new York series.

Likewise. Vegas is head and shoulders the best. I can dip in and out of New York, but Miami leaves me cold. Mainly due to the cast.

Yes. Which usually involves ridiculous plot lines culminating in hardened criminals caving in and confessing everything when confronted with improbable evidence. In between lots of overacting and posturing from the heavily made up, and in some cases surgically enhanced, cast. All glossed over with flashy editing, close ups and lengthy and tedious procedures made to look like hey presto magic tricks.

It's mint, basically.

The way the narrative is constructed, that's the point really I'd have thought.

Look man, I had 3 years of an English course at university so don't even try and pull that lame trying to be clever shite with me. I wrote the book on it

And I wrote an essay on the use of narrative in tv dramas such as CSI for one of my modules, so suck it. ;)

Was that supposed to refute my point or back it up? What did you do next term, use of dramatic irony in Home and Away? :)
