smoggeordie 0
Not sure if any of you have seen the run in the mackems have got, but I can honestly only see them winning 1 more game this season. They'll be in the mix for relegation I guarantee it.

Big Onion 0
There's a 'will Newcastle go down?' poll on F365 which is currently at 62% yes. Allowing for the bitter mackem factor I'd say that makes it about 50/50. Probably about right
maggiespaws 0
After this weekend's spineless display, I have to admit I'm more worried now than I was on Friday. Our biggest saving grace is that some of the other teams around us have a more difficult run in than us (our next two games aren't cakewalks like). Really, our survival depends upon how we pick ourselves up after the next two games as I really don't see us getting anything from them. Psychologically, it's going to be more difficult because we're likely to be in the bottom 3 after our next 2 games. We'll be fighting to get out of the bottom 3, rather than fighting to stay out of the 3. .Com have put up a piece about this time last season. The biggest difference for me is that this time last year we had KK. He brought confidence and belief - something I don't see Houghton instilling. It's going to be close...... If we manage to scrape a win against Arsenal (Let me dream ) we'd go above them because their goal difference still isn't much cop IIRC.

The mackems are currently torn between planning their street parties in anticipation of us being relegated, and nervously looking at their own current shit form and iffy-looking run of fixtures. It would be lovely if they got sucked in mind, but I think they'll be alright unfortunately.

Tom 14021
I don't think they are worried as it's normal for them. They are too busy enjoying our situation to worry about their own.
OTF 7592
In two weeks time it's incredibly likely that we'll be in the bottom 3. Portsmouth a point ahead with a game in hand. Our next match will be away against Stoke. Stoke's home record is miles better than ours, having won 7 drawn 4 and lost only 3 for 25 points (we've won 4 drawn 6 and lost 4 - 18 points). It's likely then to conclude that we'll lose that match and be firmly in the drop zone, as low as 19th if Middlesbrough can defeat Hull at the Riverside (which is a decent chance). We'll have lost three games on the trot and confidence will be at an all time low. From there it's an extremely tough ask with our playing roster and our piss-poor management team. sandman02uk 0
looking at that run in, I think we are fucked, we have 4 games against top 5 teams and we are unlikely to take anything from any of those games, after the performance at Hull I think we are nailed on Players don't give a shit, management are incompetent
Happy Face 29
For fun I gave each team points based on position, where top place has a difficulty of 20 and bottom is 1. Away games you double the difficulty. Tottenham 168 Boro 152 Newcastle 148 Blackburn 144 Sunderland 140 Portsmouth 138* Hull 139 Bolton 129 Stoke 116 West Brom 112 *Portsmoth score 153, but the extra game means I multiplied their run in by 9/10 So apart from Boro, of the likely candidates (can't see Spurs getting dragged into it now), we have the most difficult run in. Definitely. I might ask my boss if there's any work needs doing now Edited March 18, 2009 by Happy Face
