I'd say:

Football 40%

Casino Roulette 30%

Casino Blackjack 10%

Horses 20%

I'm not as bad now with gambling as I once was, but as soon as I've had a few drinks I think I'm king of the casino and can lose up to £250 before I know it. The worst thing that happened to me was winning 500 quid in about an hour down at Gala, cos now I think I can do it every time.

Does anyone here speak good french? If they do could they go on the Marseille or related website and tell me if they intend playing a strong team at Ajax tonight. If Marseille play their big guns they're going to piss it at 2/1, great price, I've watched both sides lately and there's no comparison.

Ok...

http://www.om.net/fr/Saison/101002/Actuali..._PLACE_EN_QUART

"if we go there only to defend we'll get knocked out"... "we have so much offensive talent that it would be suicidal to only go to defend"

Marseille won on Sunday against fierce rivals PSG. 4-1 IN Paris! Changes are to be expected, but the UEFA Cup won't be neglected. "Our players will have to use their last resources of energy to get us qualified".

http://www.football365.fr/coupes-d-europe/...ache-rien.shtml

Same group of players as against PSG with the addition of Ziani. No Wiltord or Brandao as they are cup tied. Bakari Kone, slightly injured against Paris should see someone take his place in the starting 11.

And keep an eye on the teams people might post in response to this post:

I don't know... surely there's a good chance of Marseille bottling it with Ajax only needing the one goal.

Although haven't seen either team play of late.

I've watched a bit of Marseille, they're fucking good, lots of movement up front, solidity in midfield, and they're bang in form, winning 1-4 at your bitterest rivals is always sweet. Aside from that Ajax are shite, it's a poor standard Dutch football, and they don't even know what formation they're playing, their so called best player Suarez is shite, and honestly I think Marseille will win 1-3 on the night as long as they go for it.

Matt go on that site mate, and see if there's any links, a JustinTv one would be ideal.

Stuck a bet on 2 weeks ago:

Liverpool to win the league (without Man Utd)

Wolves to win the CCC

Peterborough to win League One (without Leicester)

Brentford to win League Two

Celtic to win the SPL

Man Utd to win the Champions League

£20 on at odds just over 98/1

The same teams with Skybet now are about 28/1. I genuinely think this has a chance. Wish me luck :(

I always keep my fingers crossed for your bets tbf just because you've got the balls to have a punt-and to say so at the time rather than just crowing afterwards. For the bit underlined though I'm going to have to make an exception this time.

Mind I think they will win it haing said that.

by the way... My knowledge of football bets in bookmakers is limited, what was the outcome of your Marseille wager?

I'm guessing it wasn't a winner as it would have been for them to win the game on the night, or could you specify it being for them going through?

I'm sweating on Man Utd now in the Champions League, Wolves fucked up on Monday they have an easier run of games now, but Peterborough, Brentford, Liverpool and Celtic can see the line. I'm taking comfort from the fact that I don't think Man Utd will be sloppy in Oporto. Arsenal did Porto 4-0 as well in September.

Sure I read this morning that no English team has ever won in Porto.

Fancy Man Utd to scrape through though.

Their form is totally baffling until you reach one utterly glaring conclusion. Rio Ferdinand is their most important player. Vidic my arse.

I think they're equally important. Vidic was coming back after a spell out the team (albeit due to suspension rather than injury).

Gambling is insane.

I lost £200 wages when I was in the 6th form (weekend job). Took me a month to earn it and a day to lose it. Fruit machines....

It was the best thing that could have happened to me though. It made me realise that the only time you are forced to stop is when you've lost everything. There's no upper limit so psychologically you never reach a point where you can stop if you're winning.

I too lost a lot of money when I was a kid playing the bandits, never touch them these days, horses I find boring, cant see the interest in them to be honest.

nowadays, I like to have the odd trip to the casino, although these days it is a very odd trip as the credit crunch is definitely hitting hard. When I do go to the casino then its roulette for me and I make an evening of it, have a meal, few drinks and then maximum of £50 on the table. Cards are left are at home so I cant go daft.
