I would try and put my gambles in a % format

Football 70%

Racing 10%

Casino 10%

Greyhounds 5%

Darts 5%

I never bet more than 100 quid a go these days, have many small bets.

Horse racing mainly, its the only way you can make real money from singles with a bit of knowledge.

Football is too easy to predict therefore make serious cash in accumulators and as any bookie will tell you they will take accumulators all day long and it is the singles that hurt them.

That said I am very streaky and probably at best evens over my gambling career.

When I was late teens early 20's same age group as Bawan, I made the same sad mistakes he seems to be making. I didn't lose hundreds in casino's, I lost tens of thousands over a period of a few years, which set me back years in terms of finance. Only go to a casino with money you can afford to lose, and don't borrow to go, and never ever chase your money. Over my gambling career I'm well down, but if it was purely football betting, I'd be well well in the black, never more than four teams that's my golden rule and never back anything with odds under 2/5.

Not huge amounts usually, a fiver accumulator at a weekend just to keep an interest when the scores come in. Never won big on one and don't expect to. The overround kills you.

Proper money I make is looking out for over 2.5 goals on Betfair.

Bit of blackjack at the casino is OK. Only been properly rinsed once, and I've not been back since!

Play a lot of online poker... but I still find casinos rather intimidating. Rare occasions I go I'll dabble on the Blackjack with 40euros max, probably my favourite casino game, it's class.

Otherwise never bet on sports or anything like that.

I like a small dabble here and there but can't justify more than £20 or £30 on a bet. Even though I'm a multi-millionaire.

Biggest thing these days is poker, mostly home games. I play with a mixed range of skills but usually manage to place. Sometimes play online but I find that a bit boring tbh.

Online gambling in casinos, what I tend to do is join up the ones on Greasypalm.co.uk where you get cash back, I'll hoy in the minimum and see what I can make in the knowledge that you usually get your stake back from GP. Made quite a lot of cash doing this tbh. Again though find it a bit boring.

Betfair, a few hundred quid a year in and out. Last decent win was on Barack. I won loads a few years back on the guy with tourettes from BB. Thought that blind lad was gonna win last year and just missed out on a few hundred. I find BB and politics easier to pick than horses, I have never won on a horse, ever, maybe won once or twice on the footy.

Given up the fruities, these days they are fucking awful, used to be better value back in the day now you can put £20 in and lose it in 2 minutes with nay entertainment at all. Having said that in Australia I played the pokies a bit too much but with those you can actually get some entertainment and pull out a decent win, once put a dollar in and won $200.

Oh I was once in a small town in Chile drinking pisco sours, didn't realise how strong they were, lost my mate and blacked out, I came to at the blackjack table in the casino (when sober I had no idea there was even a casino in the town). The manager and bouncer were stood either side of me and I'd lost about a hundred quid. B)

About 80% football, 15% horses, 5% online games/casino for me. Usually just a few quid here and there, I don't spend big money because I haven't got it to lose.

When I used to work for Coral, we basically keep a track of people who are in there all the time, and it's astonishing the amount of a loss people make up. A total and utter mugs game for the majority.

I'm probably about even like Danny. Although I don't gamble very often. I stick to football though. Singles on games and bets on teams to win tournaments / leagues are pretty much it. I agree accumulators are mugs bets. Alright if they're just a bit of fun, i.e. daft bets with a small stake. My sis is a bit of a ledge on daft bets like. I can think of a couple of times in the last 2-3 years when she's won over £100 on a £1 stake. That's the only type of thing she backs - correct score / first scorer combos, the reverse bet and she puts the fixed odds on. She's probably down overall but she would only bet about £5 a week max, sees it as a bit of fun and when a big one comes in she just blows it on an expensive meal or some clothes. She had Ronaldo and 5-0 come up, or whatever it was, when we got stuffed at Old Trafford last season - 125/1 iirc.

85% football, 5% blackjack, 5% boxing and the final 5% on anything really.

Not a big gambler by any means, but I'm fed up betting on football because the only time I've ever won money on it was when Spurs beat West Ham. B)
