adios 717
All coke really does is prolong your drinking time. It's a simple stimulant. I never really got why it's class a. It is bloody brilliant on an all day bender when you start flagging. I would describe those effects from speed more than coke. Coke is incredibly addictive because it gives you an insane dopamine boost. Easily the most addictive thing I've ever done, except maybe oxy. adios 717
You really aren't. If you're snorting coke at a family BBQ in your 40s you need to give your head a shake. Typical Mackem scruffs How would you have any idea about this? Have things changed that much since I've been gone?
Renton 21627
Well it wasn't a family BBQ and I didn't snort anything, but close Didn't say you did. I'm glad the kids weren't there, but the idea of sending the kids off to be babysat so your mates can indulge in drugs is a bit sad imo, BBQ's are surely family affairs. If half your street does this then my preconceptions of where you live are admittedly way off the mark.
ChezGiven 0
Whilst i'd love to propagate the myth that the appearance of drugs at an evening of drinking at a family house qualifies CT as a mackem bamp i'm afraid it just describes a very parochial view of the world. Spend a weekend in London at my mates 8 million pound mansion in Barnes with his friends from finance, law and medicine and try and say the same thing. For fucks sake, as if taking drugs is indicative of social class

Easily the most addictive thing I've ever done, except maybe oxy. never had a problem with it, personally. it's moreish while you're in it but i can't say i've ever woke up the next morning craving for a line for breakfast. i have had that issue with booze and smoking. the only way i could see anyone getting addicted is if they had extremely deep pockets and a life with zero responsibility. I think (when your middle aged) openly taking drugs is probably prevalent at the extremes of social class, but not in the middle. And I can guess which ends you and CT belong to. Dr Gloom 21924
I'm surprised someone as health conscious as you advocates combining cocaine and alcohol. The doctors I know tell me that can have disastrous health consequences. same could be said for pretty much any mind altering substance. none of it is good for you. i enjoy staying fit and healthy, it's almost become the drug of choice of my mid 30s, but what fun is life without the odd vice? i had a mis-spent youth but i'm pretty much a straight laced family guys thee days. the only substance i enjoy on a regular basis now is a drink, which for me is probably the most damaging drug on the market. but that one is legal so society says it's alright and the others are all evil. nonsense really when you think about it. ChezGiven 0
Well that's just being disingenuous, you know perfectly well i'm middle class not upper I also think me using the example of very rich London friends therefore establishes that that segment of society is the only other one openly taking drugs in middle age apart from mackem bamps is not very helpful. The example was used to show how silly it was to link drug use with being a bamp. Edited July 29, 2014 by ChezGiven

Just pointing out this can cause all sorts of problems and is at odds to your quinoa diet philosophy.
