Foster in the clear after using iPod

He saved one penno for god sake. It was poorly struck and too near him.

He set the tone to be fair.

Not really

Foster is a good 'keeper, and this is a non-story really (who gives a shit if he used an iPod?), but he's getting a lot of praise for saving the one penalty. It *did* set the tone, but I think United's penalty taking skillz and David Bentley being SHIT had more to do with the win.

Spot on N17.

:icon_lol:

Tom was talking about the penalty itself.

N17 was talking about the context the save had on the shootout as a whole.

I would say that was fairly clear.

Exactly what Tom meant I'd say. Can't see what else 'set the tone' could have meant. Tom will confirm either way I suppose.

Was it Ed Moses who was stopped from using his Walkman at the Olympics? I think it was. He used to 'chill out' whilst waiting for races during events other than the Olympics, but the powers-that-be decided he shouldn't use them during the Olympicsn - just in case he had an unfair advantage.

The point I'm making is that Foster WAS cheating - which makes it all the more satisfiying that Spurs were beaten by a cheat :icon_lol::icon_lol: (well, when D B is concerned; N174Life is a canny lad as I recall) :icon_lol:

Apparently van der Sar will be kitted out with a highlights reel of our best corners that fail to beat the first man tonight, just in case he gets bored.

It would be typical NUFC to be the first to score against Ed VdS for what seems like six years. Still get beat, mind.

I never bother with betting myself, but i always thought us for first goal was a really good shout as being NUFC we were likely to be the team to score past them as nobody expected us to where better teams had failed, but like you said it would then end up in defeat!
