From NUFC.com:

-----------

It's reported that former Magpie Alan Suddick is in

a critical condition, having been admitted to the Manchester Royal Infirmary in recent days after his condition worsened.

64 year-old Suddick was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer in 2008 but had been in remission following chemotherapy treatment.

Alan was part of our 1962 FA Youth Cup winning side, netting 43 times in 152 games between 1961 & 66.

-------------

I'm sure that all here wish Alan and his family the best at this difficult time.

Can't remember against who but I do remember that during one of his games for us he ran behind a defensive wall and pulled down the shorts of one of their defenders. There was a photo in the newspaper of the bloke with his shorts down but Suddick had moved so fast he wasn't in the picture. Wasn't he from Chester le Street?
