Tom 14013
Yeh I doubt they are fake so it just seems people aren't happy with the new kit I suppose. The only thing I can see changing is the crest being embroidered instead of a patch.

sandman02uk 0
why would the home strip have the puma logo in the centre of the chest and the away strip over the right breast? the home strip looks unbalanced because of it, the away strip looks pretty good
Barney 0
I'd say they're real, just half arsed. Standard(ugly) collar, misplaced Puma logo and then the awful sponsor patch. Pretty hideous. I thought they might make an effort, like they've done with Spurs, they've just gone with template A or whatever.
Tom 14013
The away kits are templates - the home is a special design for us. It's stripes for fucks sake what were people expecting?
Barney 0
It's not the stripes I have a problem with. It's the rest of it. Remember the grandad collar from adidas-that was just stripes too, but they put a bit of thought into it. We also rarely got template style jerseys from them. The club sell a lot of jerseys, surely putting a bit of effort into it might make for more sales. As it is, it seems like they've decided, "right, black and White stripes, same collar as Cardiffs jersey, now lash on the sponsor-just stick a big black patch behind it". Tom 14013
Hmm it looks like a lot more thought has gone into it than that and the NR template has been the same for 3 years so it's obviously the choice of the client and not the kit manufacturer/club. The black patch - of there is one - is a necessary evil I suppose.
Barney 0
I really don't see it. Umbro made a lot of effort with their kits last season and it really shows-Ireland, England and the ManCity jerseys are all superb. They also spoke to the sponsors and made sugestions to alter their logos to benefit the look of the kit. The black panel is avoidable, but that's why people are crying Photoshop, because it looks pasted on from last years. The patch at the back doesn't seem to be mandatory(the mackems don't have it I think). The colour of the away shirt is quite nice.
Tom 14013
The patch is because we play in black and white - making it harder for the numbers to stand out so the Premier League ask for a patch, their rules not Pumas. Last years Umbro shirts are lush but I would hardly call a plain shirt with nothing on it making an effort.
Barney 0
But we could easily use a different colour name/number on the shirt and there'd be no problem. No need for shields/panels. I disagree with you about the plain England jerseys, I think someone put a lot of thought and effort into it. Nike have showed with the new Inter jerseys how easy it is to overcomplicate things and make an absolute pigs ear of them. sammynb 3508
FFS the fucking lot of you are forgetting, $ cost = $$$ after mark up. Fat Freddy said it best, the cunt Ashley just knows how to do it better. The cunt has just made the toon shirt another sports direct item. btw whoever it was that complained about the Puma logo being centre, look at where the club crest is, half on a white stripe, half on a black stripe, that's why it's centre because to put it left breast won't work for the symmetry. Also has everyone forgotten the Adidas plastic stripes/logo a few seasons ago? This one

Puma won't do it if it's not the same size as the club logo or symmetrical. Make the club emblem smaller and it will be done. Check out Bestikas shirt from 03/04. Can't see them making a half half Puma as it would cost Ashley $$$
