Could've been worse, could've been better. Don't know why they didn't put the puma logo over the black stripe on the right of the shirt rather than the middle. If we've a huge patch on the back then it's just plain shit.

Really like the blue one, though.

the trend for putting the shirt manufacturers logo at the top and central is so it always appears on cropped ‘head shots’ of players to maximise exposure. Adidas have been doing this for a while now.

Looks unbalanced compared to being opposite the club badge like.

I wouldn’t have been worried if the puma was black, mackems don’t own the image rights to all black cats all of a sudden — they’re too insignificant — full stop.

someone on NO lightened the pic and says you can see a huge white panel on the back.

It's also visible in the original photos too now that you know what you're looking at. It looks it's pretty massive. Much like this season's.

Not too keen on the home kit and the blue kit, quite like the white one though. I'm hoping the kits have embroidered club badge, cos am not paying what the club shop charges for shirts for bits of plastic ironed on. will look cheap and nasty

The mock up that Matt has done certainly looks better than the pictures. I'll say what I always say about any strip we have where a badge is down the middle..I don't like it. The crest on it's own in the middle with the Puma marks only on the sleeve I could live with, but not that design.

2nd and 3rd kits are simple but spot on...Very nice!

The home kit is absolute wank...total fuckin let down.

Plastic transfers and unbalanced logo placement.....just fuckin shit man!

I was really looking forward to the release of the home kit more than anything but if that is the final design then im sure as fuck not buying that fucker. It looks like a fake you would buy off a sweaty turk.

However i shall be buying the white one! :D

They are three of eight "mock-ups" made by Puma, the white and blue are second strip "options", they are not the new kit (they could be, but aren't confirmed)

Hello, Just a quick word to put your minds at ease.

I work for Puma. However, not in a production Factory. Im actually a marketing representative and work mostly on the continent. I like to check this site quite a lot as I am a lifelong football fan and ultimately, a bit of a Newcastle nut! I heard yesterday that the site had posted pictures of the new toon tops so i got a bit exciited as I hadn't seen them! So, from my hotel i logged straight on and checked them out. I was very dissapointed to see the home kit looking rather bland but for the other two, well i quite like them. The blue one especially is probably the most bright and punchy looking footer shirt I've seen for any Premier League team so far this season.

Now...I'm going to put your mind at rest. I contacted a collegue who has contacts at the production factory in Asia. I waited a fair while for a response on the question but I asked him if he could check that the kits posted were the ones making final production. Well, they're not....not yet anyway.

The tops you can see above are only three of eight. All are prototypes and no definite desision has been made on the final kits.

I was notified that they had not started to produce any Newcastle tops yet, currently there are only the eight produced 3 of which you see above. There have been four home top prototypes made, and four away kit prototypes made. The white one above is an away kit option, not a third kit.

The club badges, and sponsor have been ironed for money purposes only. Embrioding the kit badge and sponsor on a prototype just isnt viable so thats the reason we haven't done it.

I have been advised that the collar is staying as is on above pictures however, one design does provide the Puma logo on the right hand side. There has also been a yellow, green and white away top prototyped. ..i have been informed.

There may be changes so dont expect these kits to be final products.

I would personally be happy for the blue away one mind.

How'ay the lads....
