Isegrim 9897
It's interesting that people before the match were drawing up the scenario of Newcastle playing superbly but not winning, now in my eyes second half's performance was woeful at the best. Sunderland were very, very lucky to equalize with what were screamers that came out of nothing, but in the end they were unlucky in losing this game. adios 717
What makes you say you have more 'right' to be in the top 4 than us? 48670 I remember sitting watching Chelsea and Liverpool fight it out for the final Champion's League spot the year we finished 3rd. That was the natural order before Abramovich walked in. If he walked away now Chelsea would crash, probably to complete extinction, although football clubs are rather more resilient than any other business I can think of. Your success hinges on one man, Newcastle are where they are because of the fans, we fill the second largest stadium in the Premiership whilst arguably flirting with relegation, I believe Chelsea are struggling to fill their inferior stadium. TV money, consortiums, merchandising, synergising with bloody casinos, ultimately it's all about the fans.

I was more impressed when Souness and his staff where hugging each other after the first goal and doing the hoorayanotherweekinthejobdance. bez 0
Ameobi had a good game but hel not have another one til we are in europe or a cup final. he only turns it on for the important games. on the last 10games shearer might be struggling to break that scoring record, hes done nowt! Boumsong is shit, fact. he got turned inside out by elliot, twice! On the plus side, emre is a fucking ledge, cant believe we got him so cheap, hes like our own little deco/zola/maradona all rolled into one. another decent game by n'zogbia taylor played canny too. also ramage for his first proper start in the league was quality. better than elliot and babayaro, if he doesnt get a run in the team he should feel harshly done too. welcome back nobby! 48518 Without detracting from Emres display he played his way into trouble TWICE when he didnt have to. Gave the ball away and the mackems nearly scored as a result. Get it in perspective. In other days with other players we would have 'the best supporters' hammering him for it. Fickle. He knows well the Sky cameras are on him. I have to wonder if trading those 2 points for a top manager would be worth it. I think the answer has to be 2 points yes, just not those 2 points! Definitely Maybe 0
Just had a look at the SMB forum and the mackems are already talking their shite about how much money we've spent and how little they have and they still managed to play us off the park etc, etc They really are a sad bunch. 48517 Whats shite about that? You've spend TEN TIMES more than us this year, on paper your team should have wiped the floor with us. We gave a good account of ourselves, and matched you throughout the game. We certainly didnt disgrace ourselves, and if it wasnt for the crossbar we'd be looking at a different result. You might have beaten us, but we can walk away with our heads held high. Just compare the performances the last time we went to St. James', the lads made us proud yesterday. The atmosphere from the home fans was shocking, too. At the end of the season, I'm sure you'll look back on the defeat with pride as you say goodbye to the Premier league.

We know we're not good enough for this league, but the performance and effort yesterday was something to be proud of. Best way to look at it really. Dr Gloom 22147
the noise from the crowd sounded alreet to me through the telly. much louder than recently although that was always going to be the case. could't hear the mackems much at all actually, which is surprising as they usually give a good account for thmselves and it was a close game. Atmosphere started as you'd expect for a derby and was good in the first half, then quiet at 2-2, and second half was far too quiet untill Emre scored when it picked up again.
