I was chatting with someone in the boozer on Fri night and they said you cant get Leon on DVD at HMV or most places, he said something about it getting re-released.

Its just the dvd going out of print is all.

Happens all the time. The manufacturer prints them in batches, say 50k at a time, and occasionally the existing stock will run out before the next batch is printed - so the dvd is said to be 'out of print'.

Some dvds can be incredibly valuble, even the crapest films, if there was a small number made - try searching ebay for dvds that are 'OOP'

So will they reprint them?

Leon I should think is a very popular film?

Seems to be a bit more of this about than usual, the cynical might think it was to do with blu-ray. :nufc:

Im sure they will.

Its probably a marketing thing, first the single disc goes out of print, then along comes the definitive directors cut edition which will in turn go out of print so we can have the 20th anniversary ultimate edition in 5 years time.

or maybe theyre just changing manufacturers.
