Have you seen the one where it's the Apollo XI Moon Landing set to Eno's 'Apollo'? That's canny good saw it once years ago (on BBC" iirc) and I haven't managed to get hold of it / see it since. Given my state when I saw it, I'm not even 100% sure it exists. It was good even if it doesn't exist though.

Not heard of it before, sounds like a Dark Side of the Moon/Wizard of Oz experiment of your own concoction.

The one I watched goes on for an hour and a half, and all but 20 minutes of it must be the control room and silence.

Apparently I am sane

Don't think it's very easy to get hold of though.

This music was originally recorded in 1983 for a documentary called For All Mankind, directed by Al Reinert. This film’s release was delayed until 1989. By that time several tracks on the album were omitted from the soundtrack and replaced by other pieces by Eno and other artists.

Just watched this 'feature length' pilot thing called Fallen. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0775362/

Its from last year and theyve just followed it up with another 3 'feature length' episodes recently which i'm downloading now. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0838800/

Kinda interesting - its about angels the ones who fell with lucifer.

For Fucks Sake!

Part 1 of the recent episodes is just the same as the one from last year

What a waste of bandwidth.

Did anyone catch the Hawkwind doc on BBC4 tonight?

What a band! Man. Still going strong (er, -ish) too. I've seen them live twice. Once at Middlesbrough at that night club that's in an old theatre and at The Opera House on Westgate Rd. I was off me tits.

Just finished series 1 of Carnivale.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0319969/

Fantastic stuff.

Laz, we just finished the second series and it's as good as the first but without being a spoiler you do realise it was axed after the second series - which makes it as frustrating as fuck!

Yeah - huge shamebut i suppose its understandable. 4m per episode and only a couple of mil watching it.

As long as theres at least some closure thats ok by me. wouldve loved to have seen the remaining planned 4 series(even though ive only seen the 1st so far).

Frustrating as fuck is what they did to 'Jericho' by canceling it on a huuuuuge cliffhanger. bassas!

Carnivale was just SUPERB.

Have started on 'Six Feet Under' http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0248654/

Fucking hell Laz, are you following me around my loungeroom???

We just finished the last episode of series five of Six Feet Under last night.

IMHO the first two series are class, after that it goes down hill and I would of been perfectly happy to not bother about halfway through the third series but the boss of the television decided she wanted to finish the lot!

Thank fuck that's over.

Now it's my choice - the original bbc version of the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy!

Oh and Laz, some good news for you:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho_%28TV_series%29

Jericho is an American serial drama produced by CBS Paramount Network Television, with executive producers Jon Turteltaub, Stephen Chbosky and Carol Barbee. The show is broadcast in more than 30 countries.

The first season of the show premiered Wednesday, September 20, 2006, on CBS and went on hiatus after the eleventh episode aired on November 29, 2006. It returned February 21, 2007, after a special recapping the first 11 episodes aired on February 14, 2007,[1] and concluded with a cliffhanger episode on May 9, 2007. Lackluster ratings prompted concern, as the show hit a ratings low in early April.[2] The ratings were down 25% following the nearly three-month hiatus and subsequent return.[3] During its first season, it ranked 48th, with an average of 9.5 million viewers in the United States. Other Wednesday night programs it competed with were Bones, Deal or No Deal and ABC's comedy block.[4]

Though the producers seemed confident that the program would be picked up for a second season,[5] the series was initially cancelled by CBS in May 2007.[6][7][8] However, after a grassroots campaign to revive the series, CBS officially announced on June 6, 2007 that it had purchased seven new episodes of Jericho for broadcast as a midseason replacement.[9]

This is the fifth time the network has resuscitated a canceled series due to viewer demand. Fans of Cagney and Lacey, Designing Women, The Magnificent Seven and Touched by an Angel all were successful in convincing CBS to bring the shows back after their respective cancellations were announced.[10][11] [12]

Laid up witha bad back at the mo so i'm catching up on a lot of stuff....

Six feet under was great - some really funny black humour - am downloading the other 4 series. not sure if this is for everyone as its 1, a bit 'quirky' and 2, theres a gay male leading character.

Also finished series 1 of boston legal - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0402711/

Shatner is fucking scream

Ive been trying to find a clip of the scene where he walks into the toilet cubicle, shuts the door you hear him pulling his trousers down and then sitting down and he says "Lock and Load". :icon_lol:
