Think this is the one I'm going for like. Sorry Craig. ;)

No need to apologise to me - it's you who'll have to use it...

We have them in work, I decided to go with one of these babies instead:

It does look good, but it's a Nokia which is putting me off. I bet the loading time is shite.

It's a smart phone, it boots up in less than 10 seconds. That thing you're considering on the other hand can take up to half a minute - loading up time being the very thing that puts me off windows mobile devices.

No, maybe it wasnt a sony ericcson, the back slides out and has a keyboard on??

The C905 takes some cracking pictures though, 8megapixels!

Don't get hung up on megapixels, in my opinion the lens is as important if not more so.

Indeed. Selling itself as a top end camera phone, you've got to expect Mr Zeiss has been supplying...

I'm interested by the C905 for my next phone but got my fingers burned with the crap firmware I had on the K850i - sometimes the phone would just reboot, others it'd pack up completely and you'd have to remove the battery to get it to reset. Hope Sony Ericsson have sorted that little ditty out.

Oh yeah and Jimbo - did you ever find that the photos over exposed on the K850i?

I got the C905 in November after having had an N95. Thought it was canny at first but I prefer Nokias and I was missing it to be honest. I didn't get all the fuss about the camera either, it didn't seem that much better than my N95. Then, within a few weeks the earpiece died after one day of heavy usage. After a bit of research it seems that it's a very common problem, so I had a moan to T-Mobile and after a bit of bartering they eventually let me swap it for an N96, which personally I think is much better.

I`ve got a c905 on T-Mobile, 5000txts,1000 mins and internet for £35 pm

The first phone was fucked after 2 weeks but they swapped it and the new ones been OK

Takes a good picture and the internet is fast

I've got a similar deal with the C905, going to reduce it to a minimum tariff as soon as I've had it 6 months.

It's basically a camera with a phone attached tbh, good for taking photos on nights out but I'd still use my Ixus for more important pictures. I can't think of a realistic use for the GPS, it's too slow and doesn't easily give co-ordinates. I've got free internet bundled in but contrary to Jay here I find the speed too slow to be of use unless I'm hooked up to wifi. I suspect I might be doing something wrong like.

In short I wouldn't recommend this phone unless you really want a high spec camera, but I agree with Jimbo that the lens on a camera is as important, or more, than the size of the sensor array. The best pictures I've ever taken were with a 4 megapixel Ixus.

How about a G1 ? they are dog ugly but review very well.

Ps I wouldn't go near a Sony Ericsson again.

Anyone got one of these? (I don't thnik they are Ugly)

My phone wont turn on any more, and T-Mobile have a seem to have a good deal with web n walk for 31 pounds a month.

Also echo Jimbo's feelings My last two Sony Ericssons have been a utter gash.

Otherwise I was thinking on the new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic which is 15 a month for unlimited texts and 100 minutes. (More than what I would need but for two years.)

A pretty good choice IMO although it is all dependant on what you want it for. It's not a leading camera phone, but definitely a competitor for the Blackberry.

Really just for checking emails and internet browsing/WiFi. (Mainly reading, not videos). :D

You should have got the Blackberry Bold

I did like the looks of that, however my girlfriend has a blackberry and I don't like the roller ball on it. ;)

Not sure how responsive it is on other BBs but I have always found it to be pretty good on this.

My brother has the Blackberry Bold and obviously I have the N71. Whilst I like the 'pearl', I just can't get along with the interface. He's exactly the opposite - loves the navigation of mine but hates the operation.

Guess it's a case of each to their own...

Going okay so far, no complaints. :D You recommend any applications to download Craig?

Beyond Google Maps (which ties in well with the GPS) I haven't really installed anything. However the phone techno at work is a good mate of mine and he's using the same phone. Will find out if he's found anything worth adding :)
